I've never understood this argument. While I don't condone this person's behavior (and this one is quite tame compared to some I've seen), what difference does it make if that's his/her name or not? Would it be alright to get on like this as long as you used you real account and an avatar of yourself? And the girls can't really take the high ground when it comes to using fake (read: stage) names

These guys are ten-a-penny, they seem to crop up quite regularly, usually using the same type of language as well, 'sex worker' 'telephone prostitute' etc. Makes you wonder if it's the same person!
When you look at their account, you see they send the same message to a whole bunch of girls attacking and insulting them. Easy enough to just block them and move on, problem solved.

This particular guy seems to have a split personality, at times he is defending certain girls and being nice to them, then he's attacking them. Too much time on his hands!

I think the point is that people like this use anonymity to be obnoxious in a way they almost certainly wouldn't be in real life or if their real identity was known.

I recall many years ago on usenet (google it ) we had a guy come into our particular newsgroup acting the big man and ignoring the 'rules' that everyone else worked by. He used a nym as we all did, but his particular nym he used elsewhere as well, including on a homepage which revealed his real name and address. It also revealed that he was a rather chubby middle-aged man, and not the 'cool teenage leet hacker dude' he tried to portray in his posts.
Once the link to this info was posted publicly, we never saw him again

I don't see how that's a valid comparison.

Unless they're going to come on-screen wearing a burka, having a stage name hardly gives them the type of fake identity they can hide behind to hurl abuse at people without being found out.

The " " meant it was a joke. But plenty of these girls use different names depending whether they are working on the channels or certain websites, not to mention the girls that escort.
