The players are good enough they need to be let off the leash. How many times have we set up with just one up top when we should be going at teams like Fulham and QPR with a 4-3-3 for those of you old enough to remember when Dalglish was last in charge it was exactly the same then. He is naturally very defensive and cautious.

I'm all for 4-3-3 but I think the only reason we play one up is because Carroll isn't good enough & they're now seeing it for themselves, Kuyt & now in ture Liverpool style so Craig Bellamy sre seen as wingers.

Suarez is quality but he has his own style which isn't straight down the centre so this means we lack a central figure in the box to finish off all the lose & second balls which strikers like Owen, Torres, Hernandez, Anelka & Bent would eat up.

This is how I think our squad should look.

Pepe
Johnson/Kelly Škrtel/Carra Agger/Coates Enrique

Gerrard/Henderson Lucas/Spearing Adam/Shelvey

Maxi/Kuyt Suarez/Carroll Downing/Bellamy

I don't regret Kenny coming back one bit cmiller you need to be a Red to know how we feel about him & what he's done for the club more so since he was last manager but I just wish he'd assessed the situation before buying Downing & Carroll & playing 4-4-2. He came back the same time as Damien Comolli & the new takeover happened & the appointment of Kenny was probably a knee jerk reaction by the Amaricans & Ian Ayre to settle what was a very very rocky boat & it worked but now it's about football & all's not well.

I think the Premier League is what it is now with a rebuilding job to be done at UTD & once thats done it'll be so so & this means us not moving on & this is why I think we need to sit down in the summer & make sure everyone knows what they're talking about with the highest of knowledge of how to take the club forward both on & off the pitch as like I've said the last few seasons have all been the same & this will next season effect us in a business sense.

Some don't see it but this is very testing times for us as it's the first time we can really assess the knowledge of the new owners & how challenging Ian Ayre is willing to be also how much influence Comolli is going to have, plus will Kenny review his tactics & will Steve Clarke bring a flavour of what he picked up when winning Premier League titles.

went to game on saturday just got back (live in Bristol) and it was my first time at anfield and even though we lost it was the best experience ever, i loved it. when suarez scored the place went crazy. i was really happy when sterling came on and hope he plays next game instead of henderson who was poor. i also spent over £200 in the shop and i dont care best day ever. im hoping to get tickets for the semi final to wembley now.

We'll turn this league form round. Starting up in geordie land at the weekend. Losing Lucas was a monumental blow to our season, he patrols the space between the back 4 and midfield and lets the other lads go and attack without fear, people seem to forget about that. Adam's been half the player since Lucas's injury. Johnson and Bellamy should be back for the weekend, another positive. We've missed Bellars over the past few weeks.

Raheem Sterling should be on that 433 illustration of yours Mitchell. Reina, Gerrard, Suarez, Bellamy and Sterling would be the first 5 names on my teamsheet for the rest of the season.

Like I said I'm sick of hearing Kenny tell us about how we need to protect the youngsters yet he's willing to pay £51m for Andy Carroll (22) & Jordan Henderson (21) & give Henderson more games than Kuyt, even play him out of position, Just play the fucking kid for fucksake!!!

I like big Andy in the side mate. Think we're a more threatening team when he plays. I know your not a big fan of the old school winger, big target man style but if it's done the proper way it can be unplayable. Carroll needs some better quality service than what he's been getting and to be given the next 7,8,9 games on the bounce alongside Luis. The pricetag should be put aside completely, it's not the lads fault.

With the right players around him he's got the ability to be a monster.

I'm fully confident, we can beat Liverpool at home with the lethal Ba and Cisse up front and the pace and trickery of Ben Arfa and also the reliable Krul in goal

RE: Liverpool FC
hi guys

i live and breath liverpool and i wanna have my say Smile

i think the signings have been ok but obviously being a fan i wanna see us compete with the big spenders esp as its getting to more of a level playing field with all the new rules regarding not spending more than you earn etc etc

as for the signings i highlight

downing. carroll, henderson - all three of these players are top quality signings as far as im concerned but they are having difficulty playing in the system (if we've got one!)

bellamy, adam - for me they were worth the money £8m and free i think but i think they are a bit like benayoun (great player for clubs in the bottom half (blackpool) and brilliant players for a championship side (cardiff)

coates - brilliant for uruguay but only needed when we have injuries so it will be hard for him until carragher retires but he is long term as well

enrique - i sit on the fence at the moment as he is a good premiership player but that is all, i think out of our best defence (johnson/kelly, agger, skrtel, enrique) he is the weakest link - the only good thing is he's better than konchesky!

my main conern is lucas and spearing, i personally thought lucas was terrible when he first came esp passing but before he got injured he was playing his best football for brazil as well as us, i hope he will be the same when he returns

as for spearing he has done well considering he has had to play cos of lucas's injury but like adam and bellamy i think he would be more suited for a top championship side (leicester) or bottom half table team

finally suarez - he and gerrard are no doubt our best players but he is too selfish and should score a lot more goals, so if we keep him its all about getting the right player playing alongside him - we cant rely on gerro forever (gets injured too much!)

players for the future and i think we will see more of next season

sterling, coady and poss wisdom - good to see king kenny give sterling a play on saturday

i know we are only really playing for the fa cup now but we need to start getting into the mindset like man utd and chelsea - every time ferdinand or terry get interviewed they talk of must win not it would be nice to win maybe if we do well!! grrrrr drives me up the wall! (you know who you are gerro and kenny) lol

enough of my rant, i still think we are better than man utd and will soon win the league!! lol

come on kenny (hope you are reading this) we had faith in you before and you should never have quit and we still have faith in you and our beloved liverpool fc!!

you will never walk alone!

vinny

(my next post will be a shortlist of possible signings for next season!)
