The Official WWE Discussion Thread

I thought it was a very average PPV. Another year, and another abortion for the younger wrestlers. Wrestlemania used to be about establishing new talent and highlighting fresh faces that the comapny were going to give pushes to. Which non-main eventer was boosted last night ? Dolph Ziggler ? Cody Rhodes ? Zack Ryder (though he is tedious) ? It was nothing but nostalgia. And, according to several sources, Brock Lesnar is on his way in for a match against either 'Taker or Rock. Another example of getting new, future headliners over against veteran talent.

Obviously the stand outs were always going to be Rock/Cena and Undertaker/HHH. I thought both matches were excellent, and was pleased with the surprises in the Punk/Jericho match. The added stipulation of Punk losing his title if he was DQ'd cleverly threw people off track.

The down points were the Bryan/Sheamus throwaway and the 12 man tag was a let down, especially following straight after the Taker/HHH epic.

Still - great ballbusting kick from Eve to Zack Ryder at the end of it.

Never really got the whole Brock Lesnar thing. Still don't.

FINALLY!!! Got around to watching all of Wrestlemania this morning and then straight on to last weeks RAW too. Good shows, WM was ok but not the best one ever, still in summing up would say we haven't had a truly good one (high standards and all that) since WM24.

Good to see Lesnar back, read that he will be making at least two appearances a month and then build up more to WM29.

Also rumoured for WM29 is:
WWE Title - Lesnar vs Rock
Austin vs. Punk
Taker vs. Cena

Probably the best opening to raw i have seen for a while, Brock forgetting where he was and busting cena up with that first punch was the highlight.

WWE Over The Limit, CM Punk defend the WWE championship against Daniel Bryan, Need I say more. Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

I only enjoyed two of the matches of Extreme Rules - Bryan / Sheamus and Punk / Jericho. The rest was a bit of a letdown.

I was confused with last night's RAW. I thought the Punk / Jericho feud had some time left in it, but now they're pushing Punk to take on Bryan at the next PPV? Surely there's more mileage left in the Jericho angle.
