RE: Football Banter
Well well well.... I have to take it all back! Great game plan by John Terry in the end to get himself sent off so the Chelsea players pull together
In all seriousness he must be gutted to be missing the final, but nothing more then he deserves for being a complete moron! I do think him getting sent off meant Chelsea had to play so compact Barca couldn't break them. Had he stayed on Chelsea might have tried to break, who knows, but either way fair play to them. They showed discipline and grit with 10 men and the "Scoregasm" was funny as fuck!!
Playing a slight Devils Advocate here, but I think every team in the world would love a Drogba in their team. Whether or not people like him or not, he gives 100% to the shirt when it is needed and he is willing to jeopardize his reputation by acting like a fairy to buy time. He must know people slate him and every time he falls to the floor he knows it's another line to give pundits, journalists and fans of football, but despite all that he is willing to take one for the team and damage his reputation for the sake of the club he is playing for.
People might not agree with it, but in a game full of crooks, cheats and scandal, what Drogba does upon impact is no worse then players who hack down an opposing player on the break to hold back play, to hurl abuse at ref's or claim for a corner when they KNOW it came off them last, or handball on the line to prevent a goal. It is taking one for the team so to speak, and as much as people don't like it, he's the envy of every side that doesn't have a Drogba.

People forget there is an art to defending. Watching classy defensive displays might not put bums on seats, but it is nothing short of majestical at times.
As someone who played in defence as a lad, I enjoy watching the art of defence. Football isn't all about midfield maestros and 20 goals a season strikers, it is about a strong back 4 plus a 'keeper who'll all throw their bodies on the line to defend their goal.
