RE: What is your preference?
I liked DS9 the most i think, loved the dominion war stuff, the Defiant was a kick ass little ship and had some great characters! like Garak, Quark and Odo the mirror universe stuff was cool. Plus the last ep was wicked!!
I too liked Enterprise, it was quite clever! wasn't so keen on the season with the whole bunch of people that tried to destroy earth, but the final season was good, it had just started to find its feet and then cancelled last ep of that was good, tho it was more of a Star Trek as a whole finale really with it being a crossover with TNG....
This weekend is a good weekend, new Dr Who and new Red Dwarf!!!!!!!!!!!!1

RE: What is your preference?
DS9 was my favourite as well. I thought it was the darkest of the shows, with the most emphasis on character development. I never could get away with Enterprise, but then again I've never liked Scott Bakula so that wouldn't help, I suppose In true sci-fi geek fashion I'm going to list my favourites in order of preference
1:- DS9
2:- TNG
3:- Voyager
4:- TOS
5:- Enterprise
I think Easter has been declared National Geek Weekend or something, I can't wait! I might even give the old Star Wars and Firefly DVD's an airing and make it a whole weekend of spacey/lazery goodness

The Master of my Domain Wrote:Never been a Star Trek fan, but I used to love The X-Files - Gillian Anderson single-handedly made scepticism sexy. Well, until she sold out in the last two seasons.
how did she sell out? it was chris carter who turned her from sceptic despite everything she saw and knew and had been through over 7 full seasons to believer at the start of season 8. that is what killed my show more than mulder being gone. it should have been given a fresh start with the introduction of doggett but no. they had to turn scully into mulder which made no sence. i am glad the awful second film died and i am sure the fucking remake will soon be happening for the series (shudders and pukes a little)

Good point. I'll personally never forgive Carter for giving in to the shippers as well, and for killing off the Lone Gunmen. They should've left Mulder dead at the end of "This Is Not Happening" and built the show around Doggett from that point - I honestly felt he was a solid character who rejuvinated what had become a stale show. And incidentally, Annabeth Gish had (and presumably still has) a fine arse.
On the subject of a possible remake, I have only this to say. Carter, if you even consider it I'll hunt you down and go caveman on your arse.
I managed to end two seperate paragraphs with the word "arse". Cool.

RE: What is your preference?
doggett was a good character. very underrated and understated hummmm and under, under, dunno something else beginning with under.
the remake will happen. it was the most impressive show in the 90s and even now no show of this type can get close. each episode was made in 10 days from script to screen on a tiny budget (i love that sentence and will never forget it lol)
i dont agree with your lone gunmen stance. frohike, langly and briers got their own under(here we go again lol)rated but good spin off. it was like a spoof x files. i thought it was well done. i havent seen their final episode since it was aired but i remember feeling a little sad but also happy that they died heroes. it was also if i remembered rightly commented upon on the x files. didnt scully visit their graves or something. dammit now i need to start watching x files over lol

RE: What is your preference?
I just had a violent reaction to the deaths of the Gunmen, I loved those guys. Maybe it's because I used to know and hang around with people a lot like them. Ah, fun times!
I liked their spin-off show, though I thought the Jimmy Bond character kind of stole their thunder. He was funny, don't get me wrong, but he did upstage them a little. And you're right, Scully, Skinner, Doggett and Reyes attended their funeral along with Jimmy and Yves in Arlington National Cemetery.
EDIT: I just checked the Wikipedia page for their last episode, and it turns out Morris Fletcher was there too. That guy ruled!
