Drogba gets a lot of bad press, but he is a top bloke. I met him once at a petrol station in Cobham, had a chat with him and he offered to pay for my petrol!! Annoyingly I had filled up and paid and was on my way back to my car, he pulled up in his Ferrari. Still it was a nice gesture.
We saw Sol Campbell once pull up at the Sava Centre near my parents home in Hertfordshire - he filled up right behind us!!
I think we should all say thanks for him for what he did for England as he announced his retirement this week and wish him all the best for the future. There's a part of me that thinks his disallowed goal in Japan should have stood, and if it did, I wonder how much difference it swould have made to our position.
I hope you got Drogba's autograph!! I would agree mate he may get a lot of bad press, but when he offers something like that, it's nice to know there is a top bloke in him. you should have asked him to pay for a beer instead!!You probably wouldn't get very much out of JT or Lamps I bet. I think he would make a top politician back home when he retires!! What's the betting he would be involved in the I C national team setup when he's finished?

Didn't do us much good in the end did it? FiFA tell United to compete and it will increase our chances of getting the World Cup, and what happens?

RE: Football Banter
Today sees the unveiling and homecoming of Don Revie back to his home ground Elland Road.
Sunday marks the 40th anniversary of our Centenary FA Cup final success.
All in all, Revie guided Leeds to two Football League First Division titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup, two Inter-Cities Fairs Cup titles, one Football League Second Division title and one Charity Shield.
Love Leeds or hate Leeds, The Don was undeniably one of the greatest managers to ever manage in English football who managed arguably the best football team in the world at that period in time.
