groundnpound, we'll agree to disagree on Adam Johnson... well more to agree my oppinion is more fruitful than yours!
He's got the quality to do what Giggs did in the 90's albeit differently given the style of the game now a days. He'd have done a lot more if he didn't jump on the City oil train, but then again he didn't have many option given as soon as they made a bid we shit ourselves.
I'd also have Maxi over Joe Cole but I was going on the basis he's gonna leave but & hopefully that will now change & as the saying goes he could be like having a new player next season especially if played in a 4-3-3 so he's in his naturall position. I think I can speak for all Reds & say I'd love to see him stay & be first choice.
Jay Spearing a good player he justneeds to be given a chance to do his job without too much pressure on him & this hasn't been the case with the combo of Lucs getting injured & us playing shit which brought us under more pressure from teams increasing his workload & meaning every tackle had to count.
Play 4-3-3 & he can come on for the last 20 alongside Lucas & Gerrard which will help jim settle into the role. I see what your saying though but I still think he'll make a good Premier League player even if it's not with us.
Raheem Sterlings good but not as a starter, not just yet anyway, he needs to add a bit of strength first.
I was being realistic. Xabi Alonso we can't afford & probably wouldn't come back anyway & thats if against the odds Real agree to sell, Edison Cavani will cost more that we have to spen unless we sell Downing & Kuyt, I'd love to see Adam Morgan get a chance thats other thing other than the tactics that annoyed me with Kenny, his reluctance to give the young player a chance look at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Leighton Baines, Come on lad, what would your old man say???

Unless FSG, like City, pay outlandish wages, unless the Liverpool Academy produces the likes of the Man United team of the mid '90's, then what is the option.
Come on
Vimesy your better than that.
Our academy always produces!!!
sweetsugar007 what's the problem with Roberto Martinez, he was the man who started the revolution at Swansea with the playing style they play ith now. He won promotion the the Championship winning the League One title & at Wigan he's saved them from relegation in pretty dramatic style considering some hammerings they've had & some of the top teams they've beat.
The formation & style he plays is suited to 95% of our squad & with the higher caliber of players would be a good match for us, we may not get back into the Champions League in his first season given the alround quality of the Premier League but over his first 4/5 years of his time with us we'd get back in the mix & maybe just maybe make that elusive title challenge, he's a manager who could be here for a good 10 years???
