RE: Liverpool FC
Louis van Gaal is too old for the Liverpool project of getting back into a title challenging position both on & off the pitch & more so he's an egotistical prick!!!
Johan Cruyff I think has already turned it down & I don't see these two working together given what happened at Ajax.
John W. Henry & Tom Werner have done nothing as yet to suggest they're anything like the two fools that they bought out & so far everything has been done to a pretty good standard. They gave a shit load of money to Comolli & Kenny, unfortunetly that didn't work, most likely due to Kenny not having the tactical nous of the modern game, so they showed their ruthless streak & got shot of them both. The players they brought are all capable of having a long career here other than Steward Downing who is without doubt an average footballer.
The plans for the new stadium are still ongoing & not at the £30m cost of the last two fools. The way the new manager has been searched for will only become clear once he's appointed, so all the talk is just that, there's nothing wrong with asking a club about the availability of their manager. It's not our fault if that managers agent/club then goes out & tells the world of the approach & once the first one gets made public the press will search every club with a manager they see fit to take over the club seeking a new manager & then the stories will flow freely.
As I've said before, Roberto Martinez was the man who started the revolution at Swansea with the playing style they play with now. He won promotion to the Championship winning the League One title & at Wigan he's saved them from relegation in pretty dramatic style for the last 2 seasons considering some hammerings they've had & some of the top teams they've beat.
The formation & style he plays is suited to 95% of our squad & with the higher caliber of players would be a good match for us, we may not get back into the Champions League in his first season given the alround quality of the Premier League but over his first 4/5 years of his time with us we'd get back in the mix & maybe just maybe make that elusive title challenge, he's a manager who could be here for a good 10 years & thats what we need with the age of our squad & the current crop of youngsters we've got coming through. If Martinez gets the job I can see Raheem Sterling making atleast 10 league appearances next season & The likes of Conor Coady & Adam Morgan popping up in the Carling Cup, I doubt this would've happened under Kenny given his reluctance to play Sterling for the last 2 games.
I can only see 2 managers in the frame now with Rafa being considered if they don't get Martinez & as I've said before I wouldn't mind either of em.

Frank Rijkaard, come on lad don't be silly. We had an experienced manager in Roy & that didn't work, we're at the stage of dare I say it the Mancs when their old chap took over & thats what needs to happen here with someone with experience of the Premier League & an open mind & knowledge of the modern ways of the game & players, of which Roberto Martinez has both.
Manc's old fella, Moyes who by the way came from Preston & Wenger who came from Japan, this is what we need & as I see it it's whats happening with the possible appointment of Roberto Martinez & I'm all for it & excited as fuck.

As much as I respect Rafa & all he has and continues to do for the families of the 96 "you'll never be forgotten" Liverpool will not go back down memory lane,of that I am certain.
