Babestation - General Chat & Discussion

The reason that they created separate shows in the first place was to explore different markets without tainting the main brand. They are unlikely to simply amalgamate all 4 brands now.

After a slow start Apprentice looks to have been the biggest success as they discovered several girls who fit perfectly with the main Babestation roster.

Masti Nights struggled from the start and ultimately failed as they could not find enough girls who were prepared to work the night shows.

Dirty Wives is interesting because initially it looked to be very profitable as they expanded it from once a week to 4/5 times per week but it has been cut back significantly recently. There are two possible reasons that I can see for that 1) it stopped being so profitable and 2) some of the Cellcast decision makers were reluctant to have their brand associated with older/larger ladies. Money has to be the big issue and if Wives was making significantly more than the other brands then no manager could ever justify dropping it but if it was making the same or less than other brands then a case could be made for dropping it. If you are a person who wants to build the Babestation brand as the "home of the hottest girls on TV" then Wives works against that because those ladies are a turn-off for a lot of people. When you consider Cellcasts main rivals Elite - their roster comes straight from the books of modelling agencies and you will never see an overweight or older woman on that channel, RLC has a little more variety but the vast majority of their girls are young, slim and pretty.

It remains to be seen if the death of Dirty Wives comes to pass but going forward it looks as though Cellcast are going to focus on the main brand and their recent signings (Mica, Michelle Thorne, Georgie and now possibly Lolly Lopez) would indicate that they want traditional glamour models.

so dirty wives has failed u didnt have to be mystic meg to know that was going to happen. there was no need to specialise could have just brought a few girls into the the cast and use them as and when needed


so basically in 6 months they have let go and replaced a bunch of high earners but who brought in loads of calls and let them go to the opposition replaced them with the cheaper option who couldnt bring in the calls and this is on freeview which is supposed to be the cash cow that can be milked for all its worth.

if they have any sense they will use the channel wisely and try one with hardley any osg no interuptions and make it a glamour channel use tiffany georgie lexie lacey louise and a few more maybe even relaunch partyland as it was in 2010

Yes Masti Nights just didn't work out and neither has Dirty Wives, Apprentice I still think is an interesting one which I think they should stick with. The thrill of that show is seeing the up and coming models being eased gently in instead of simply being thrown in at the deep end on the main show, it also gives the viewers an expectation not to expect perfection and to show the kind of patience they'd maybe not get on the main channel.

I'm happy they've brought Blue back aswell which since it's return has been a mix of the regular girls aswell as the apprentice ones. Babestation on the whole however has been up and down all year but when they get it right it's arguably the best babe channel out there despite all the annoying OSG's.

Lolly Lopez will make her debut ofcourse on Monday so here's hoping she turns out too to be a success and one to watch out for into being a possible future legend. Lori Buckby for example was also a daytime babe, now the very thought of her not being on the nightshow is unthinkable. Lolly could also be a jewel waiting to be unleashed into the big time.

BS themselves have tweeted that Dirty W is not being axed in June, they are cutting back to one show a week every Sunday

I wish BS would let the twins have a bit more time off at the same time. I don't know if it is just bad timing on my part but every time I have switched the channels on for the last few days one of them seems to be permanently on. I know Lori is away but surely there are opportunities here for other girls to get more exposure (no pun intended) and build up a decent amount of call stats.
