Do some musicians use autotune?

I have heard people talk about this for a while, but do you think some musicians use autotune?

most of them use autotune! this is brittney spears without autotune and backing tracks. :

best be careful what i say here dan cos i think ur a newcastle fan arent u so im guessin u mite be a geordie, but one popstar known for it is cheryl cole cos shes terrible singing live! she mite be hot as fuck but shes got a shocking voice!

I'm a Newcastle fan, but not from Newcastle. I just started this thread, because I find it weird that some musicians have such a huge fan base, but can't put a tune together. Maybe I'm missing something and theres more to music than a good singing voice

I knew Britney Spears couldn't sing worth a fuck, that was just absymal One singer I know that will be spinning in his grave right now is Freddie Mercury, that man was a genious, his voice was a machine, very few singers can sing live but he could and is arguably the best singer of all time. Judge for yourself as he cohearses the audience here at Live Aid, nothing auto tuned about this in the slightest.

i couldn't like a band or singer if they didn't sound good, live in a concert environment!

The best part is when he goes EEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOOO brilliant

But can someone tell me why some of these autotune singers are so popular?
