RE: Football Banter
When it comes to football i tend to take a philosophical approach to the game especially where West Brom are concerned and rarely lose my cool no matter what the problems maybe. However this appointment is the straw that broke the camels back, while other clubs were going after their first choice candidates and were prepared to pay whatever it cost to get them we simply settled for the cheapest option available, an unproved number 2 who was not good enough to take over when the manager at his previous clubs was dismissed but is suddenly Jeremy Peace,s number 1 choice, nobody had even heard of him till we gave him the chance to wreck all the good work that Hodgson did. I listened to his press conference today and all we got was the usual drivel, impressed with the club, impressed with the chairman, looking forward to working with the players, grateful to be given this opportunity, yada yada yada... Nothing about him impresses me in the slightest, if he really wants to win the fans over his resignation would be a good start.

Are you serious? You want rid of one of the most highly rated coaches in English football before he has even managed a single game, and on what grounds?
You talk about your club penny pinching, you are kidding right. Would you rather your board spend beyond their means and end up in administration and end up having no club at all!!!
You are a typical Premier Greed fan. West Brom might be one of the best run clubs in the EPL, accept you're at your level and pipe down. Until you get a billionaire owner you ain't getting the dream of Champions League. Maintaining Premier League status year after year is NOTHING to be ashamed of.
When it comes to West Brom i have no illusions as to our place in the premier league, i believe that we are the best run club in the country we own both our stadium and our training facilities, and we make a profit every year. This is not about spending big money on players we can,t afford or being overly ambitious, this is about treating the fans like idiots, letting our best players go and trying to replace them on the cheap, and appointing an unproven manager in the hope he may achieve a miracle.

RE: Football Banter
I think the signing of giroud in addition to podolski is of course good for us
but get the feeling that they have given up on RVP but in my view should hold
him down to the end of his present contract man 4 years ago Newcastle was relegated now they are competing for top quality signings, its quite unbelievable in terms of the way mike Ashley has turned it around for himself and of course hiring the impressive head scout graham carr

I'm just seen as how we are looking for a right back, that definitely means Danny Simpson is leaving. I really wish Pardew would buy a centre back though, we really need one and a centre midfielder
Yh they are linked with that young Montpellier defender, why not try for van der wiel?
