So England have been beaten on Penalties. Can't say I'm too surprised. as soon as it goes to Penalties, England fans must surely have by now come to realise that more often than not it will not end well for them. They did well to get to the QFs in a group few expected them to get out of let alone sneak the group win over France. Italy were by far the better side though, and had several chances in the 90 minutes to score but squandered them.

thats just the line up, the bench would be ruddy, richards, caulker, welbeck, sturridge, walcott, carroll, albrighton. the 4 remaining places either be carson, fraser foster, gary hooper, spearing, henderson, gibbs, robinson.

should be hart ©; walker, smalling, jones, baines; wilshere, lennon, oxlade, cleverly, rodwell; rooney. This is the team I expect to start the qualifiers for 2014. But I think Hodgson needs to be bit more positive thinking for those. He clearly needs to show that he has a different approach.

As they were preparing for the 5 penalty shootout a female friend asked if they were going to be taken by the five guys in yellow.

Disappointment for England but good luck to Italy they played well and deserved to go through. The boys made far too many basic errors the main one being an inability to keep the ball, they gave away possession far too easily allowing Italy to dominate the game. Young was awful the whole game, it,s been a long time since i,ve seen such a bad individual performance in an England shirt.

Knew he would miss that penalty...WANKER
