RE: Ofcom Discussion

In responce to why I was so pissed off with Tumble_Drier's comments is because it brought the entire credibilty and integrity of this subject into question in what has been a long hard struggle against the power's at ofcom. Eccles for example started up a petition only to have certain forum members doing their best to make a mockery of it all.
Now for all these people who have turned their back on this petition shame on you. The word Judas springs to mind here.
Let's be clear here and I'm pretty much getting sick to death having to justify why the ofcom threat should be taken very seriously. Ofcom can and will close down any Adult Channel they see fit without warning or notice, they will issue fines and sanctions for the channels also without warning or any notice given. They have rules in place which are so draconian that you'd think we were still living in the dark ages.
Second of all it's bad enough when we have seasoned forum member's going against the struggle against ofcom and then worse still we have a relatively new forum member in the name of Tumble_Drier posting what he did without thinking of the repercussions and anger that a post like his would provoke. What an insult to have to read his trolling comments.
I would personally like to thank the majority of the forum members who have remained sincere to the cause and for us to never give up or turn our back on what will be a long struggle which hopefully in the end we'll all prevail.
I don't think I can make my point anymore crystal clear. Fight ofcom and fight censorship and be sincere in your agenda.
I know ofcom have the rules you been going on about but it's not like at this present time ofcom are targeting channels, correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't masti chat the only show to date to get told off, I swear elite, red light ain't got nothing for ages? Even if you check the bulletin there's no sign of the babe channels.
Ofcom is there and is a threat but you can't really complain about the present time can you?
I think your comment regarding ofcom shutting down channels without warning or notice is a little over exaggerated don't you think?

also ofcom do give notice about sanctions etc. they always say they are investigating a channel first, the channel then put forward their side of the argument. ofcom then decide if the complaint is to be thrown out or what sort of punishment to give out
also not nice having a go at tumble drier just because he's posting opinions that disagree with you. fair enough you disagree with him but to personally attack him as much as you have is uncalled for. he is definately not trolling as you say. he is just saying his opinion
You're right, Rammy, but it's the way they go about it is one of the problems for me. The zeal with which they pursue breachers of their code if they are the sex channels is something out of the 15th Century.
You then have this ridiculous claim that kids are regularly watching the encrypted shows so no penetration or fellatio can be shown because these kids need protecting from seeing that.
Is it any wonder that adults on here express incredulity and disgust at this unelected quango telling us what is good for us, acting like the social services and the police all in one.
it's total bollax.
They don't want sex on UK TV, they are secure in this policy because they are backed by the UK government.
I.M.O. anyway.

RE: Ofcom Discussion
Opinion and being 2 faced are 2 completely different issues here, let's be very clear on that one, anyway can we please now get this Thread back on track by fighting these fucking cunts at ofcom HQ.
So yes sure no recent complaints have been made but have you ever heard of the saying the calm before the storm. Ofcom are quiet at the moment probably mainly down to the fact that Ed Richards was unsuccessful in his application to become the new head of the BBC but we are not out of the woods just yet, Ofcom could still unleash their full wrath on any channel at any given time or date.
