How so? I know its your opinion, but do you not think seen as how Ba and Cisse play with each other at Senegal, they would have a better understanding of each other. Plus if Pardew puts them in a 4 3 1 2 formation, it would work well to get them both firing goals. But 4 3 3 works better for us as a team, as we have to get the best out of Ben Arfa

Quote:Hope this is rubbish (The Carroll part of it) but he's went 1/3 to sign for Newcastle this summer, Demba Ba's gone 5/6 to sign for Galatasaray and Theo Walcott's gone from 6/4 to evens to sign for us on Sky bet.
Ba is going nowhere for definite. Although Theo Walcott is an interesting one, but that might be pure speculation, because aren't Liverpool buying some lad called Ramierez

That rumor is still floating & would be my preferred choice, but I can't see fenway spending 16/18 mil on him if they can get both Walcott & Dempsey for the same price.

If Walcott were to move, wouldn't he want CL football?

I think he will stay with us even though apparently he was crushed when RVP didn't wanna sign, at the end of the day theo wants more money just like any other footballer

It's only worth being in the champions league,if you've got an actual chance of winning it! It's a bit like the faroe islands in the world cup.

Yh course you enter a competition to win it but it doesn't always happen like that, atleast you get to mix it in with the big teams of other major leagues, I did like watching Bilbao last season in the Europa league but as a whole Thursday night football is boring don't u think?

Andy's a better player for me dan g and would get the jersey before Ba. I reckon that if Pardew's trying to bring Carroll back then he fancies pairing him with Cisse. Like i said before though, i don't think Andy's going anywhere.

The Ramirez story's been around for so long i don't know what to make of it, heard Milan were after him the other day. Most of these rumours are rubbish anyway. Walcott and his dad are big reds, he can't agree a new deal at Arsenal it seems and Rodgers supposedly likes him. Wonder why that story's came about... Rolleyes

To be honest more football is never a bad thing!!!! But the Thursday Sunday thing is a mare for my team "The Mighty Liverpool" just be a good chance for our young players to get a bit of european experience.

Yep, until the semis it's a cure for insomnia mate. Good to have some sort of european football back this season all the same.

We will be in the same boat as ye next season, if we qualify for the Europa League group phase, I'm not sure if ye have to qualify. If we do make the group phase, we also probably use our youth players and fringe players. Although I don't think its a bad thing to play European football on a Thursday and play league matches on a Sunday, its the same thing for teams that play Champions League football on a Wednesday and play league matches on a Saturday
