Oh you just crack me up
I looked at lunchtime and a ticket for the men's 100m final (etc) was at least £725. They sold out in minutes.
I guess I'm not surprised the 100m final event is so expensive. Its one of the Olympics most prestigious events, you could argue that it is the most prestigious event in the Olympics. I'm not surprised either that they have sold out so quickly, the 100m has always been a big draw for people
Although my post was aimed at the indoor events such as swimming, as there is clearly a lot of empty seats that can be seen. I'm not aware if any track events have had a lot of empty seats, but as I write this, I'm not sure if any track events have taken place just yet. In order to fill those seats, I believe the organisers are using troops, students and teachers to fill the seats.
Organisers Locog made 3,000 available tickets to the public, maybe I'm being foolish, but I hope these tickets are a cut price deal for people

There are cheaper seats in the stadium for the night of the 100m finals which had already sold out, but as these are the reclaimed Prawn Sandwich brigade tickets, they are for the better seats and aren't being discounted.
This was true for all the other tickets that went on sale today. Some £60 ish but mostly at £725+. No discounts.
