There is an "adult" opt-in, of course, for the subscription channels, but Ofcon continue to censor it because they don't like it.

Just incase anybody missed this video the first time I posted it, I'll post it again, this is an official Ofcom video on how to protect the minors from viewing unsuitable material and should by law be the only thing Ofcom does anytime anybody makes a complaint about a babe channel. This is clear evidence that the way Ofcom are acting is above and beyond the law. See for yourself

A soft strip from Romanian late night chatshow show Un Show Pacatos. The strips and other sexy setups are occasional, not regular, but nice all the same and filmed in front of a large mixed studio audience. A rough equivalent would be the Johnathan Ross show or Graham Norton. Sadly the channel itself has gone pay protected due to "higher costs of foreign downloads". And YouTube quality doesnt match the original. Sigh.

As I have said before I am far more concerned at the censorship of legally-available material on the subscription channels than I am of the restrictions placed on FTA so-called 'babe' channels. The latter I find understandable, if regrettable, the former is nothing short of disgraceful and an affront to the rights of adults in the UK.

I think it can be summed up in one phrase: "No sex please, we're British".

No matter how much we rant and rave ( I do more than my fair share of that), quote human rights issues or european legislation such as TWF, this unelected body has decided that we will not have any explicit sex and nudity on Uk TV in the form of sexual entertainment (snippets on Sexecetera and other programmes not withstanding).
They have made up the arguments against to suit themselves and have told lies to the British people and persecuted a gentre of programmes in a manner akin to the 16th century.

At the moment, they are untouchable.

For as long as SKY remain to broadcast on the Astra 2 Eurobird satelite which only covers the UK and Ireland it's really hard to see anything of any spicy erotic type programmes or sexy channels such as the striptease videos posted ever making it's way onto our platform.

Aswell as having ofcom to contend with we also have a lot of channel execs who just plain blankly refuse to ever show such risky content, not for fear of being censored but purely based on their own merits of the stiff upper lip morals of being British, the sort of attitude and snobery of we're too good and civilised a country to resort to this type of euro trash only looking for cheap thrills entertainment.

Back in the day of the 80's and 90's Channel 4 was one of the most liberal channels going, it was hated by the Mary Whitehouse mob. The channel even ran a whole weekend of programmes devoted to the red light zone, oh how times have changed.

When Channel 5 first hit the airwaves they too were showing very risky type entertainment, anybody remember watching the infamous naked jungle show hosted by Keith Chegwin, it caused quite a stir, back then we had channel execs with balls who were not going to let puritanical morals dictate their programming. We at one point were showing more or less the same level of erotic entertainment as the rest of europe at the time.

I'd love to see a return to those days and it's going to take more than just changing the way ofcom view what society should be watching in their leisuire time, we are going to need more liberal minded people behind the big channels too if we are to ever see anything that can come close to what the rest of europe are passing off as late night entertainment.

New York strip club denied 'dramatic art' tax exemption

A strip club in New York state cannot claim a tax exemption for the performing arts because lap dances do not promote culture in a community, the state supreme court has ruled.

But the panel of judges was split 4-3.

Some justices noted there was no legal distinction between "highbrow dance and lowbrow dance", and the case raised "significant constitutional problems".

Then pity this poor Chinese guy. At least the content did not feature high ranking officials so he should be OK. It gives a new meaning to playing chopsticks...

China sex film mistake

A film banned as pornography in China was accidentally shown on a large LED screen in a public square in Jilin province, Chinese media report. Xin Jin Ping Mei (known in English as The Forbidden Legend: Sex and Chopsticks) was reportedly played to a surprised public for about 10 minutes. [10 minutes was probably enough]

A technician had been watching the film on his computer without realising it was connected to the LED screen. [As you do]

He was meant to have been repairing the screen, reports said.

The advertising company that owned the screen alerted the technician, identified as Yuan Mou, to the live broadcast.

Mr Yuan then unplugged his computer and threw the disc out of the window, according to Chinese media reports. [Yes, that's going to work]...
