RE: Time to give this channel some credit
I've just lost all interest in the channel to be honest. Ignoring the PR disaster that is their forum contributions thus far, the channel has just plummeted into amteurish mediocrity.
The biggest issues.
Inconsistency - they can't seem to stick to a schedule. More often than not when you tune in you're faced with that same old loop. Even during a 'show' the live will cut and you'll get anywhere between 10 minutes and an hour of unexplained and unwarranted dead air, after which the girl either unenthusiastically returns or even the loop gives out and you have nothing but a black screen and a number.
Production values - Colour balance on the cameras is often wildly out and the picture aspect incorrectly set. Making your girls appear 1.5x wider and giving them whatever peculiar irradiated glow is the choice of the day does not make for appealing viewing. Likewise, camerawork - any would do, or at least halfway decent positioning of the camera so that the girl doesn't have to sit in the same awkward fixed position for her entire shift, confined to an awkward positon on the 'set' for the sake of keeping in whatever inspired static shot the camera has been fixed to.
Talent - They've lost better than they currently have, and half the ones they have left display such an utter lack of enthusiasm and professionalism it more often than not borders on comical. Girls will just wander off camera or have a talk with whoever is sitting behind it while ignoring the viewers completely. Face twisting, stroppiness, acting aloof and sullen are just a few more of the more prominent mannerisms that seem such a core element of the channel. It's not appealing nor does it make for a particularily enticing attraction to call, but nevertheless it's clearly a well entrenched part of chatback and not only accepted, but nurtured.
Entertainment - There is none. Static camera shots, uninspired sets, unattentive girls sitting like lumps of wood looking bored and sullen amid random cuts to the loop, and the aforementioned half-assed scheduling. No variety and ultimately no spark.
Wasted opportunities - THE BIG ONE. The one that best defines chatback's mediocrity and stands out as the biggest failing of the channel. There is so much they could have so easily done right. So many opportunities to step up and really stand out that they literally threw away pointlessly. Fantastic, gorgeous girls who's potential they either stifled and smothered or simply didn't give the opportunity to do anything. Dropping girls with character and appeal - who actually made the channel stand out for the right reasons - while hanging onto the stroppy, the disinterested and the unprofessional ones who only really manage to convey just how much they don't want to be there and despise their callers, or sit like unmoving lumps expecting that their looks are all the appeal they need. I could go on all day, but if there's anything that chatback is notable for, it's missed opportunities.
What it all comes down to is that they've had chances. Oh so very many chances, and nothing is changing for the better. It's still an amateurish mess, and the problems run through the whole damn thing. The management and producers fail - HARD. Many of the girls are just awful and have serious attitude problems and the few girls with potential will be wasted just like all the others.
So what credit do they deserve? There's nothing to give credit for.

What are you basing that on Shandy?
meant to put seems like, not sounds like. just with them losing a few of the girls, not doing day shows or sundays (dunno if thats changed in the last week or so) just seems like they'renot making enough to maintain running it.
