RE: Football Banter
There are reports Ronaldo could be leaving Real Madrid. It is believed Ronaldo is feeling 'sad' at Real Madrid.
He didn't celebrate his goals at the weekend against Granada because he is feeling 'sad'
Quote:I am sad and the club knows it, that's why I didn't celebrate the goals," he said. "The people in the club know why."
Three reasons have been mentioned as to why he is not happy.
1. Ronaldo feels he doesn't the support of some of his team mates.
2. It is believed Ronaldo is a bit jealous at the amount of money Ibrahimovic and Eto'o are earning. So perhaps Ronaldo mentioning is sadness is being as some sort of threat that he may leave unless he gets a pay rise.
3. Ronaldo is sad that Iniesta won the UEFA best player in Europe award, although many feel that couldn't be a reason, as Ronaldo said Iniesta deserved the award.
If Ronaldo does say he wants to leave Real Madrid, then there are only 3 clubs likely to pay the money Real Madrid would want: Chelsea, Man City and PSG

I'm not convinced Abramovich would pay the sort of money required, in both transfer fees and wages. Maybe if Chelsea were still chasing his dream of a Champions League win, but they already did that, so I can't see it.
Man City are already in big trouble with the financial fair play rules, hence why they didn't splash much cash this summer, so I'm not sure they would invest so much in just one player.
The russians might just find the money at Zenit, but I can't see Ronaldo going to russia, too cold for such a prima donna.
Which leaves PSG or maybe one of the chinese sides, but they seem to be squabbling amongst themselves, and their money seems to have dried up. PSG might just go for it, but they might also have to start looking at balancing their books soon. Wonder if Fergie had a buy-back clause put in the contract, maybe a swap deal, Rooney plus cash

I've heard that Ronaldo wants to renew his contract, even though he has 3 years remaining, because the tax on high earners in Spain is rising to 52%!

Although I agree Ronaldo wouldn't fancy going to Russia because of the climate there, but I don't think a club like Zenit could afford to spend a 100 million after they recently spent 80 million on Hulk and Witsel. You mention FFP rules will be coming into force soon, so surely Russian clubs like Zenit will be in the same boat as Chelsea, Man City and PSG.
Any chance Ronaldo moving to one of those Chinese clubs, I doubt that for the reasons you mentioned and plus I think a move to China would badly affect Ronaldo's image worldwide
