RE: Ofcom Discussion
Having read the article, this is an opinion I have been mentioning since day 1 on this forum. We have always had the technology to do so and I'm glad to see the broadcasters finally supporting this idea.
What impact could that have on the babe channels. Well a very positive one if you ask me. Pin protection could give us 24/7 decent babe channel content.
The thread who's the best daytime babe to call for a wank could take on a whole new different meaning in the future
As I have also previously stated, change within the structure of current ofcom rules isn't going to come from the adult channels but from the bigger mainstream ones.
Only thing is now is the neighbours will all be wondering why my curtains are still shut in the middle of the afternoon if such a proposal is rubber stamped.

RE: Ofcom Discussion
It have taken a long time but here are details of 100 complaints about Bangs channels.
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/co...ing-326144
25 complaints came from the same person or business.
79 dayshows, 20 night, 1 general.
11 from Monitoring, 61 from well informed "viewers", 28 from businesses.
Notable complaints include Quote:I have heard on a forum that some of the pad daytime girls " turnon tv media " have been been talking dirty to callers on the phone and i actually spoke to one girl and she was talking dirty as well . i was just wondering what you could do about it ?
Quote:Description: i was disgusted to see a barely clothed female simulating masterbation with her hands, showing her genitalia/anus when bent over. it was shortly after 9pm when i caught my son of 14yrs old watching this channel. (Complaint sumbitted at 3am)
Quote:This morning when having breakfast with my 12 year old son. He was flicking channels to find GMTV and instead came across a semi naked woman simulating sex whilst on the telephone.
Quote:While flicking through the channels on freeview last night ... What if I was a young child who had woke during the night, turned the TV on and came across this? I am appalled!
Quote:I saw a young lady pulling her knickers to one side and revealing her vagina on channel Bang Babes 912 this morning sunday 20th december between 2.30 and 2.35am.
Quote:I am a television engineer and most people are not aware that programmes can be deleted. They have difficulty in retuning freeview boxes or televisions as it is with the menu system. My 8 year old grandson often gets up early and quietly goes downstairs to watch childrens television before his parents get up. He can quite easily access this channel and I think it should be removed.
A Business Wrote:that was broadcast on the above channel from 00:00 to 01:30 was unsuitable as it contained 2 girls kissing, pretending to have sex and nipple sucking
Quote:I was watching just before 4am, and saw a girl called Amanda flashing her vagina and her anus. Is that allowed? I mean without warning? I watch a lot of these shows and enjoy them. But I didn't think they could be that strong. Thank you.
Quote:I sent a message to Ofcom and they decribed her as a 'presenter'. All she is presenting is her body for people to ogle. She doesn't talk as far as I can see
Quote:i just changed channels to 912 bangbabe "18 keen" at 21.45 on 10th june 2010 and saw two young ladys one with see through underwear, performing sex acts on each other !!!
Quote:The girl was dressed in pvc and licking her lips.

RE: Ofcom Discussion
Wow, I'm shocked! I thought it was "The Mary Whitehouse Brigade" that made these complaints, however it seems that rival channels love to use Ofcom to put others out of business.
Perhaps the channels making these complaints are the real villains and not Ofcom?
Quote:As I explained on the phone over the last 6 weeks we have noticed
the level of content on the channels above coming more and more
sexually explicit with it now reaching a point where its is clearly
pornographic.
The recordings listed are just a few that we thinking clearly
demonstrates that this is something that is happening on a regular
basis and is clearly intended.
We are concerned that the level of content is not only having a
hugely negative affect on our business but also reflects badly on the
industry as a whole.
This is also now affecting the moral of our staff and is generally
quite concerning as its happening on such a regular basis.
We have invested heavily in our business and feel content and
behaviour as such as this affects the whole stability of our industry.
Its important that as an industry we all act responsibly in our duties
as broadcasters and it seems that the channels above are
continually going way beyond the mark in terms of the level of
content available.
Please accept this letter and its contents as a formal complaint of
the listed broadcasts.
We would not like our details disclosed to the broadcaster and
request privacy in dealing with this matter
We would appreciate your assistance in looking into this matter and
acting to prevent it continuing.
Look forward to hearing back from you.
Quote:We have continued to monitor certain channels in the Adult area of
Business, the EPG, and in particular the “Tease Me” channels. We feel
compelled to report that, despite several recent Ofcom published
decisions with regard to this genre, as well as Chris Banatvala’s
letter to all such free to air channels dated 3 August 2009, many
channels are continuing unabashed and on a daily/nightly basis,
and that this broadcaster has deliberately continued to broadcast
material that goes far beyond established limits.
By way of example, the “Tease Me 2” channel, on its “Bang Babes”
programme on Tuesday 24th November 2009, from 23:26pm
showed clear footage of 2 female presenters simulating sex acts
including oral sex, fisting, rimming and masturbation with each
other. At times, the models spat on each other and showed genital
detail. Obviously this is unacceptable, and only encourages other
licensees to broadcast similar. We will courier to you this afternoon
a DVD recording of this broadcast for your ease of reference,
(though we appreciate that you will seek a copy directly from the
relevant licence holder). We would be grateful if you would please
confirm receipt of the same. We would be grateful if you could
please treat this email as a formal complaint on a confidential basis,
and would invite Ofcom to follow up this complaint with the
appropriate broadcaster in its usual way. Thanks and kind regards.
Thanks to NOTW for requesting this information. Hopefully the forum can now see that it is other Babe channels that do not want explicitness on TV.

RE: Ofcom Discussion
Getting back to the pin code encryption topic because in all honesty this fellow channel grassing up on each other is really going over old ground. Why ofcom can't see through this scam I will never know.
As far as I'm led to believe if a bill is pass through that allows the channels to encrypt a channel without having to pay a kings ransom for the privilege to do so then in theory that should work but hold on a minute because it's ofcom we're talking about here.
Let's just say that all the channels go down the line of pin protection at first it might become voluntary but end up mandorary but only problem is ofcom will somehow still find a reason to keep the rules as strict as they are at present.
This protecting the kids and irresponsible parents line which ofcom like to keep using as an excuse for the channels not to show stronger content will once again be used as an all too convenient reason to justify their continuing censorship.
In ofcom's eyes the minors will still somehow be able to know their parents 4 digit pin code which historically speaking is the same amount of digits you would use to take out money using a bank card or paying with a credit card.
I fear that no matter how many safety measures are put in place that ofcom will never allow for harder shows because the truth of the matter is that they object to it by their own morals. They don't like this entertainment and never will and will do their best to stifle it for as long as they remain as TV regulator.
