Going over old ground?
Was there clear, documented evidence of this posted prior to this morning? Had the forum seen the exact basis of the complaints from the rival business? Was the forum aware that this rival business would regularly record what they considered to be too explicit and then motorcycle courier those recordings over to ofcom? Was the forum aware that the majority of the complaints from "viewers" also came from the same geographical location as this "business"?
If it is "old ground" then I haven't read it on this thread.
And thanks again to "NOTW" for contacting Ofcom with the freedom of information request and presenting it to the forum.

RE: Ofcom Discussion
^^^^ True. It's certainly the ultimate confirmation that many of us on here won't be surprised to hear. For me, the warning signs started ages ago, especially when a babe channel owner (Bob Paradiso) used this forum to say that one of the complaints they had was from a rival. The complaint against them was such a nitpicky thing that it kinda made sense that only a rival would really pick up on their error. Other signs have been the way owners have interacted with each other on this forum, which wasn't exactly friendly. Previous Ofcom bulletins have also given an indication in the past that some complaints are, well, very suspicious.

What always fascinates me is that we have just about the strictest censorship rules in Europe, yet we also have the highest rates of teenage pregnancies and one of the highest of sex crimes. Go figure!

We certainly do and i wonder if its lads dying to see what a real life vagina looks like?/ After all the girls in Uk can see plenty of real life penises(not porn ones shaved etc but real adult male penises) and testicles on tv but lads can never see real life female genitals.Sexist and sex crime figures and teenage pregnancys are rife in UK.

http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/co...ing-326144
25 complaints came from the same person or business.
79 dayshows, 20 night, 1 general.
11 from Monitoring, 61 from well informed "viewers", 28 from businesses.

Notable complaints include
Quote:I have heard on a forum that some of the pad daytime girls " turnon tv media " have been been talking dirty to callers on the phone and i actually spoke to one girl and she was talking dirty as well . i was just wondering what you could do about it ?
Quote:Description: i was disgusted to see a barely clothed female simulating masterbation with her hands, showing her genitalia/anus when bent over. it was shortly after 9pm when i caught my son of 14yrs old watching this channel. (Complaint sumbitted at 3am)
Quote:This morning when having breakfast with my 12 year old son. He was flicking channels to find GMTV and instead came across a semi naked woman simulating sex whilst on the telephone.
Quote:While flicking through the channels on freeview last night ... What if I was a young child who had woke during the night, turned the TV on and came across this? I am appalled!
Quote:I saw a young lady pulling her knickers to one side and revealing her vagina on channel Bang Babes 912 this morning sunday 20th december between 2.30 and 2.35am.
Quote:I am a television engineer and most people are not aware that programmes can be deleted. They have difficulty in retuning freeview boxes or televisions as it is with the menu system. My 8 year old grandson often gets up early and quietly goes downstairs to watch childrens television before his parents get up. He can quite easily access this channel and I think it should be removed.
A Business Wrote:that was broadcast on the above channel from 00:00 to 01:30 was unsuitable as it contained 2 girls kissing, pretending to have sex and nipple sucking
Quote:I was watching just before 4am, and saw a girl called Amanda flashing her vagina and her anus. Is that allowed? I mean without warning? I watch a lot of these shows and enjoy them. But I didn't think they could be that strong. Thank you.
Quote:I sent a message to Ofcom and they decribed her as a 'presenter'. All she is presenting is her body for people to ogle. She doesn't talk as far as I can see
Quote:i just changed channels to 912 bangbabe "18 keen" at 21.45 on 10th june 2010 and saw two young ladys one with see through underwear, performing sex acts on each other !!!
Quote:The girl was dressed in pvc and licking her lips.

Us blokes have to put up with male genatalia anytime of the fucking day never mind someone saw a vagina at 2.30am on a sex themed channels,,,oh so we are bloody sorry you saw this think of us poor blokes who have to put up with hundreds of penises and testicles every year..Fucking sexist comments put female genitals on hundreds of times a year and ban the penis ,,god damn ofcom fucking sexist cunts causing all these problems..

You lot are talking about PIN protection only for usage of a clitoris and labia minora you certainly dont need PIN for male genitals that can be shown anytime..It was Ofcom who after decades of erections never, ever, ever been allowed to be allowed and female genitals still TABOO..So fucking angry,.

Bounce Absolutely insane! Although the idiotic behaviour of the channel owners is generally known I'd never have imagined the above in a thousand years. I wonder if Ofcom reimbursed their transport costs? They may as well put the super-grass company on staff as they're very kindly doing their work for them.

Hilarious. I don't feel any need to watch this stuff on TV let alone call them up at £X per minute. There's much better fare online or via a quick bit of trickery with your satellite dish. All this latest information confirms is that the channels have been mugging off honest paying customers with false advertising.
My advice would be - starve them of your custom.
The pin thing won't make one iota of difference unless there is a significant step change from OFCOM as the same petty little shittle flakes who have been lobbying against their competitors will continue with vigour once harder content is introduced - as previously evidenced by denouncing of Playboy, Pout etc during the failed foray into G/G hardcore some years ago.

Flicking through the complaints many supposedly from viewers lack credibility. Viewer after viewer makes exactly the same point about broadcasting night content until 9am or quotes Broadcasting Bulletins. Others "accidentally" tuned in during the day.

At the same time there were almost zero complaints about other channels, even when they did have hot evening content. This kind of uneven statistical clustering gets forensic accountants excited when it occurs in other branches of business.

Almost all the complaints look as if they have come from a rival business.

At the time Bang were being plain stupid and going way beyond the rules with fanny flashes, face sitting and sideon oral sex. All very nice but outside the rules and previous decisions.

So where was the "widespread public outrage" Ofcom would have us believe this causes?

Because without that Ofcom have no grounds for banning this.

Gone fishing

If I understand the comment about PIN code appearing on the DVD the company complainy recorded the stuff on there playback systsem. They used high end professional kit to record one or more channels from a rival for unknown numbers of nights. Did they also have paid staffs watch the stuff on companys time? Was this like putting a full time employee on it? We should be told.

Well this is proving to be an amusing read.
Quote:...I noticed a girl bent over on all fours with her vagina clearly visable for all to see. This stopped me in my tracks and as I watched she then...
Yea, because if I see something offensive I like to throw logic out the window and continue watching.Rolleyes

We go from stupid viewers to stupid rivals. 3 Business complaints reported all on the same day, March 11(nearly 2 months passed since the first offense) within a 2 hour timespan. If they didn't feel compelled to report the channel the following day, or even within the same week, then really how offended were they?Rolleyes
