At this rate we'll just keep having a new boss every season if that was the sentiment of the majority but it isn't you've got to give him time to implement his way.

i thought he was a poor choice when he first got the job. it's not as though i'm turning on him. but what i've see just proves my point that the bloke is out of his depth at liverpool. they'll finish mid table again this season.

Personally,I believe Rodgers will steady the ship and go on to great things with Liverpool.
Given time and eventually the right personnel(New signings) with his footballing philosophy I'm pretty sure it won't be long before things come good.
As long as the owners stand by there decision of seeing Rodgers as a long term project and don't panic into a rash decision of letting him go because of our stuttering start to the season, and give him the financial backing in the January window to help us push on this season.
Next season should see a marked improvement and give us a better idea of whether Rodgers can cut it(I have confidence in him) Only then,I believe, you can start fairly judging him.

RE: Liverpool FC
A number of fans need to step away from the past of a few years ago. We're no longer a team who are somewhat capable of fighting off teams for a European Cup place, we're now one of the teams looking to crash the party.

Alan Pardew this week said something about Newcastle now being on a level playing field with us & he's exactly right. Considering some think his time at Newcastle has been a bit of a fluke is just silly, they're just like us, a small squad with a manager who knows what style he wants to play & gets the best out of what he's got, giving him the age old title of "Right man for the job", the only difference is they have Hatem Ben Arfa, Jonas Gutierrez, Demba Ba & Papiss Cissé, where as we've only got Luis Suárez & Raheem Sterling.

With Gerrard now settling into somewhat of a more central midfield role rather than a forward bursting attacking midfielder, a bit like Scholes, Giggs & Lampard we're struggling to get players into the box to score goals, this could all change with players coming in, say Demba Ba & Theo Wallcott. Ba would score for fun & Theo would take the pressure off Sterling along with adding some much needed pace & could even play as a striker himself.

Place those two players or two similar in our squad & with the possession game we play we'll be a very difficult team to play against, add goals to that & we'll start winning more games than we are at the moment.

Untill we can bring in players like these then don't be surprises if the Newcastle strikeforce is the difference today gaining them their first Anfield win in, I read somewhere 18 years.

If we do get beat today then it'll be no different to Everton's result at Fulham or Chelsea not being able to overturn the Swansea possession game, what it won't be is like a falling Arsenal team excaping with a 2-1 loss in a one sided game against a team they're supposed to be challenging.

Brenden Rodgers & Roberto Martínez the two best young managers in the country & Alan Pardew maybe surprisingly to some people has come of age at a club who in the modern day Premier League are finding their feet in the right place.
A few years ago they thought they were a top 4 team when they were actually just short of that, the expectation of their fans given they're a one team city was way too much for the club, player & obliviously ambitious new owner, they ended up getting a massive smack in the face, similar to our own of not being in the Champions League for a few years now.

Today is a meeting of maybe the two most compatible managers & teams in today's Premier League.

We're not in the situation of Arsenal, yes we have similar managers who have a club style & need to buy players to fit that style rather than a Pardew who buys the right players to benifit his team & fits a style round them. Newcastle could welcome back Andy Carroll & make it work, We can't!

We only need a goal scoring striker to help out Suárez & take the pressue off the young Fabio Borini along with an attacking midfielder with pace to replace the failing Joe Cole & we'll start picking up 3 points on a more regular basis aswell as making teams like Newcastle, regardless of what they have think twice about a visit to Anfield.

FT Liverpool 1-1 Newcastle

Another game filled with missed opportunity's.
After dominating for large periods,in front of goal we were so wasteful, taking an extra touch-not releasing the ball early-no runners.
For me today,Allen gave the ball away far to much (unusually for him) but Sterling is really growing in confidence which is showing in his play, young Suso had some nice touches while he was on,but the big disappointment was Shelvey missing three decent chances which could have got us the three points.
Again good aggressive/exciting football at times, but so wasteful infront of goal...Roll on the Jan transfers window.

RE: Liverpool FC
Special goal that.

We just need to play further up the pitch for me, the same possession football, further up the pitch. We played in front of Newcastle too much in the first half yesterday, too many passes in and around the centre circle. They just sat in there and watched us knock the ball about. We were much better in the second half, more variety and imagination in our passing, the place was bouncing because of it. Hopefully we can add some quality and some more experience in January, take the pressure off the young lads.
