Most likely some old fart who thought he should be wearing a tie!

As a Bloke with a receding hairline (OK fully receded) I find all mentions of hair on tv offensive should I complain...bollocks can't find me question mark key

RE: Ofcom Discussion
Just watched "Russell Howard's Good News" BBC3 and there was a man stood their with genitals hanging out and foreskin half retracted..There was no warning beforehand so why should we accept that no warning was not given out does that mean its not nudity anymore?? They can pack that in for a start even "The Killing"BBC4 had a corpse in it on the slab at autopsy and it showed all the male genitalia,,same with "Unsafe sex In The City" just had male genitals and no female..The bbc are the new Channel 4-5 now are they..I watched the first 2 programmes knowing they would be penis free but they were not for crying out loud.

Sick of 2012 its been sexist to the highest level with an unbelievable amount of male genitals. Not in a good mood at all.annoyedannoyedannoyedannoyedannoyedannoyed

RE: Ofcom Discussion
Hi gents and ladies just had a thought after me last post. Now this could be complete bollocks as I have had a few drinkies but OFCOM have to investigate any complaints made against a broadcaster correct. Now I am pretty sure that they have not got untold resources and a very limited budget as any Gov body has now ( sorry cant spell orginistion) anywhose I point is most complaints are made by say 1000 to 10,000 people and it is the higher number of complaints that is investigated.
So if a group or say a forum with a lot of members got together and complaint weekly about something
then any complaint against the babechannels would be put back while the one with the most people complaining would get investigated and if this happened weekly will who knows what will happen

:rolleyes:Here I go again I'm on one

Don't really get daytime rules in regards to clothing, how the hell is a thong offensive?

I know ofcom won't change rules for nightshows but atleast relax for the dayshows
There is a head office address on the ofcom website, anyone entertain the idea of sending them a letter to discuss compromises lol?

RE: Ofcom Discussion
Apparently many people have already written but I am compiling a super-complaint to the head office to explain some of the concerns, including mikedafc being upset about a man on Countdown being allowed to show his chest, and how we have decided that we want stronger warnings before SouthPark episodes (especially after season 7).
I was hoping to do it this weekend but I have had a few bits on, there was a long que in the post office this morning which meant I lost a few hours and this afternoon I got watching Soccer Saturday and fell asleep. Sorry brothers!

I did read on another thread Scottishbloke saying he didnt like the idea of guys wanking about the girls on daytime TV, can I clarify the groups position here please so I can confirm what we do/dont want in order to confirm this in the dossier?

RE: Ofcom Discussion
You guys might like to know some complaints details against Chat Café (aka LA Babes). Ofcoms found against them bulletin 136 - 22/06/09.

Ofcom ever had only one complaint about them and that was from a business.

The broadcast was on 25/02/2009 13:00
The complaint was on 25/02/2009 14:10
Complaint from a b usiness by email
Wording "female presenter with legs akimbo and no obvious knickers, mastubatory gestures with the mic, and boob jiggling."
Decision "Breach of Rules 1.3 and 2.3 "

RE: Ofcom Discussion
You might also like a bit more information about Babestar.

In June 2006 Selldirect.tv changed its name to Babestar.tv. The licencee was Advert Channel Ltd.

In Aug 2006 Cut Price TV changed its name to Babestar Xtra.
Meaning there were 2 channels with similar names.
At the time the licencee was called 12,000 Feet Ltd.

In Dec 2006 Babestar Xtra changed its name to France24 (no space). No ideas why.

In March 2007 it was reported that Babestar.tv had ceased to be licenced (licence handed back or revoked) along with France 24 (no spelled with a space) and Live XXX TV and You TV 2 and ITV Play and Star Date TV and others for various reasons. The licence holder at the time was Advert Channel Ltd.

Bulletin 84 - 08|05|07 explains that the licence for Star Date TV broadcasting as Babestar+ on Sky channel 960 was surrendered by the Licensee on 1 March 2007. Sanctions were under consideration for breaking Bcap advertising rules.
Quote:In November 2006, the BCAP monitoring team contacted the Licensee about the channel’s advertising of a premium rate service of a sexually explicit nature. The Licensee was asked to remove the advertising with immediate effect. The Licensee responded stating that the content had been removed and been replaced with a new show and service.

In January 2007, the BCAP monitoring team again contacted the Licensee about the promotion, on 15 January 2007 , of premium rate services of a sexually explicit nature. This advertising featured two women wearing underwear, using crude and explicit language and acting in an extremely sexual manner (masturbating, simulating oral sex etc.)

The channel was snactioned and fined £175000 http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/binarie...k4love.pdf

Ofcom have confirmed that they recieved 4 complaints about Babestar. One from a "horrified mother". One complaing the show is not live and wanting money back. One from a man expecting a "bit of background soft porn" while at a friends house. He "sat through 6 hours". The final one was from advertising Bcap regulator.

Subject: Pornography Programme title: Babestar Date and time of broadcast: 11:35pm 10/07/06 Channel/station: Sky 916/Look 4 Love Tv Description of issue: I was horrified when I came down stairs at about 11:30 last night and found my 14 year old son and his school friend watching what can only be described as hard core porn!. The channel is called Babestar on Sky 916. There were girls using dildos playing with themselves and using the most disgusting language I have ever heard! I know these kind of stations exsist but surely this sort of thing is too far! Goodness knows what my sons friend?s mother would think if she found out. Is this legal? Please get in touch.

My complaint is that this TV programme states that it is live and the telephone number advertised on screen ensures you will be able to contact the girls on screen. This I found to be untrue and after several attempt s, I never got through to the girls live on screen. I feel duped and wondered how I can try to get my money back.

On Saturday 30th September I sat through 6 hours of Babestar (SKY channel 916). Not my usual pick of channels but as I was round at a friend’s I had no problem with a bit of background soft porn. I expect a show like this to feature topless models being raunchy and speaking dirty but I didn’t think things had been allowed to go this far. The girls on the show were at times completely nude and open leg nudity was no accident. At one point viewers were ‘treated to’ a full screen shot of a girl’s anus and vulva whilst she walked around on her hands and knees with a camera behind her. The girl is known as Tammy on the show. I have no objection to harmless soft porn but this is plain vulgar. Are we living in times where there are no limits anymore? Things have been left to go unchecked far too long by the looks of things. What I saw disgusted me. It is completely inappropriate for TV at any time.

RE: Ofcom Discussion
Ofcom's latest broadcast bulletin came out yesterday Issue Number 219 and dated 03/12/2012 .

Iv'e just been having a quick look through it and some babe channels are mentioned.
Sky channel GirlGirl have been found in breach for daytime material broadcast by ChatGirl on that channel between the hours of 7.30am and 8.30am on the 22nd of August 2012,.
As yet i haven't read much about it but it seems it was for what the girls were saying on the mic and for costumes and position adopted by the girls that Ofcom thought were to adult for daytime shows.
Playboy UK TV Limited are the licencee of this channel and it is them that have been found in breach, Ofcom stated that in light of this latest breach of the rules by Playboy UK TV Limited that they will be monitoring the licencees daytime compliance on its channels, so this means Ofcom will be monitoring all the channels owned and licensed by Playboy so this includes the Red Light and Asian connection channels as well as both ChatGirl channels .

Also mentioned in this latest bulletin is that four new investigations are being launched into four adult/babe channels

Ofcom stated they are Launching a new investigation into Studio 66 nights for something shown on the 25/10/2012 .

Red Light Centeral is also under investigation for something shown on the 31/10/2012.

Red Hot Armature is also being investigated for something shown on the freeview ads that were shown on the 12/10/2012 .

TVX is also being investigated for something shown on the freeview ads on the 12/10/2012

Studio 66 also had a complaint made against them for something that was shown/done on the 12/10/2012 , Ofcom decided not to investigate further .
RLC also had a complaint made against them for something shown/done on thee 08/10/2012, Ofcom also decided this incident wasn't worth investigating .

PS , i could have missed a few things in this latest bulletin as i have just had a quick look so far, so i may edit this post if i see something that i have missed .

Life is short . Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile .

RE: Ofcom Discussion
Thanks mr mystery.

Frustratingly we're no nearer cracking the mystery of what happened on 6th November on Chatgirl to generate 14 complaints. I suppose we won't know about that until January. I bet the Ofcom writer is even now lovingly crafting his erotic prose to describe the incident.

I was struck by how Ofcom described the activity that caused the current breach, in totally unnecessary detail. They make it sound like the hottest thing ever, rather than the reality of some bird in a pair of shorts showing a bit of arse crack and waggling her bum a bit!

Quote: Over the top of the leopard print one piece outfit she wore skimpy black hot pants which revealed some of the buttock. She also wore black stockings which she rolled up and down intermittently.

From 07:30 the presenter adopted one particular position: she lay on her front gently thrusting and rocking her buttocks up and down and from side to side (albeit away from camera). While making these movements she rubbed and stroked her buttocks and upper thighs.

Admit it Ofcom, you bloody love it lol. Rolleyes Tongue
