I hope he backs Solbakken in the transfer window with the players he wants, because he's shown a lack of investment in the team so far. Fine - reasonably good stand, some nice houses being built in the area (apparently), a state of the art training facility and academy HQ (although that's alleged only as I've never actually seen it) but fuck all investment in to a defence, the same defence that's shipped 80-odd goals last season and probably similar number the three seasons before.
Not a good year to be a Wanderers fan - in fact excrutiatingly bad. But thanks Steve....
If you think you've got it bad what about us QPR fans? We go up with Warnock in charge he gets sacked. 'Sparky' buys a shit load of players who he thinks would work but we go on the worst ever start to a premiership season (by any clubs' standards) and now with 'Arry in charge we finally win but I think we'll be a condemned team by end of February. The worst mistamke the club ever made was how they treated Hollway I reckon half the players we got in the summer will be sold in January but the money won't even be enough for 'Arry's use!! (I wonder if he's got any money left in Rosie's account that he could use?) If fernandes is serious about keeping us up then he's got to let 'arry splash some cash. I don't think 'arry would want to drop into Championship with us. But foreign owners to me are bloody fast becoming immune to us genuine club fans who show loyalty to our clubs week in week out and who don't listen to us and I wonder how long it will be before every soccer club in Britain is run from abroad from the top divison downwards and run by people who have no passion for the beautiful game like we british fans do.

Splashing the cash isn't always the best idea, look what happened to portsmouth after harry splashed the cash there.

Exactly. And another example of know-nothing foreigners can be found at Cardiff City. The Malaysians (?) came in and changed the club kit from blue to red just like that. And why? Because red is supposedly "lucky" in their country. Morons. I was even more pissed off than normal when those tossers beat us yesterday The owners don't deserve promotion, but it looks like they're going to get it.
I don't think all foreign owners are that bad.
Although the majority of them do tend to act in a knee jerk way.
Just look at Man City for instance. Everybody included me have said they should sack Mancini, but they continue to stick by their man.
The foreign owners at Southampton appears to be patient with Adkins and backed him in the summer transfer window.
Reading's Russian owners also appear to be patient with Brian McDermott and haven't sacked him yet despite being joint top in the table.
Its just down to the personality of the owners to be honest.

So they wanted a manager with Premier League experience and appoint Alex McLeish.
Bizarre.
I think McLeish will get them promoted, but struggle in the Premier League when/if they do get promoted.
I'm aware O'Driscoil liked to play an attacking minded game, so how does it make sense appointing a manager in McLeish, who is the complete opposition.
He will have a busy January transfer window looking for players that suit his style of play.
