Got to remember that Neymar is only "Highly rated" across south america in my opinion. He's yet to test himself on the biggest stage which is Europe. Realise tonight he came up against some of the premier leagues finest defenders, and he hasn't played against defenders who will hack the lad down and muscle him off the ball.
That's why he'll never be 'world player of the year' until he comes to europe.

Brazil need to get a quality number 9 in the side if they're to win the World Cup for me. Ronaldo's and Romario's don't grow on trees but they need a better goalscorer on the pitch than they had tonight. Fabiano won't be in the World Cup squad surely? Thought he looked well past it earlier.

Damiao or Pato to lead the line for them in 2014 I reckon.

Im not too sure if Fabiano will be in the final squad but at the minute we don't really have Ronaldo type player in our squad, I don't think there will be another like him

I would agree with groundnpound about Damiao and Pato, that's if Pato can stay fit of course, I think Fred is in with a good chance of being the main striker as he is very dangerous when given the right service, tonight we didn't see that off him really as others had a pretty bad game.



I hope Ganso is in our final squad and we have a Striker named Elkeson who plays for Botafogo who I would like to see get a chance, he is possibly the closest thing to a ronaldo type player we have other than Pato

yup we usually pretty gud in friendlies unless we play against ibrahimovic. dont worry bout it if we play u in the world cup cos im sure we will go back 2 our usual crappy selfs and if we fluke a draw u will beat us on pens anyway

England were great. Especially in the first half. They actually kept hold of the ball! But until we do that in a game where it matters, I'll still never believe in them to win a competition in my lifetime. Wilshere was quality though, makes you wonder how far we'd have gone if he was there in the Euros.

Neymar needs to come to Europe. The longer he stays in Brazil the more in stunts his growth as a player. Someone like Fergie, as much as I hate him, could groom him into a world class star like he did Ronaldo. He needs to get down the gym too, he must weigh about 8 stone.

I remember listening to a football weekly podcast on the Guardian and someone mentioned that its likely Neymar might not come to Europe until after the 2014 World Cup. Its something to do with sponsors, who would lose out if Neymar went before the 2014 World Cup.

No-one's mentioned Ashley Cole's 100 caps here. Sure, he's acted like a total dickhead at times, but he's been a fixture at left back in the England team for a decade now, and that surely deserves some praise. Also, this tweet last night was a classy touch
