RE: Last film you watched
À Deriva. 7/10. Beautifully shot & acted, especially Vincent Cassel - despite speaking in another language, but so needlessly maudlin that even the middle-distance feels self conscious.

The Living Daylights (1987)
Timothy Dalton's Bond was not everyone's cup of tea, but I liked his take on the role. I thought he was gritty and ruthless, more like what a spy, a trained killer, should be like. Shame he only ever did this and Licence To Kill. For me it was a welcome relief from Roger Moore's later years which had become too over the top slapstick, too comedic. Living Daylights is always an enjoyable couple of hours - great car chases, one of the hottest Bond babes in Maryam d'Abo and even a jaw dropping fight aboard an open plane. 4/5
The Breakfast Club (1985)
Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Anthony Michael Hall, Ally Sheedy and Molly Ringwald (all members of the 'Brat Pack') are the high school students who meet each other in Saturday detention, hate each other and eventually form a bond with each other - all while giving their hapless teacher (the late Paul Gleason) the run around. Very 80s, but forever timeless. A masterpiece from director John Hughes with a cracking soundtrack too. 5/5

Totally agree with you about Timothy Dalton as Bond he was very unrated in my book.

Totally agree, 80's were full of coming of age films. this is considered to be one of the ultimate brat pack films.
on the bond theme, favourite bond actors craig (credit has to go bourne to get bond to up their game), connery, dalton (never got a fair crack at the whip, looked like how bond should and acted like bond), lazenby, brosnan (too much like moore) and moore (too camp and too comedic)
Top 5 Celebs To Be On The Channels: Molly Quinn, Stana Katic, Nina Dobrev, Susanna Reid, Steph McGovern
