RE: US TV Shows - Discussion (Inc New Shows/Cancellations)
season 2 of once upon a time is better than season1 which is a hard thing to do with a new show but the writers, producers and creators have pulled it off. loving the expansion of the "other worlds" along side the "fairytale world".
cw have a new show starting tomorrow in the states called cult, it is a show within a show. it stars to well known cw faces matthew davies (alaric saltzman, vampire diaries) and alona tal (jo supernatural) also has robert knepper (t-bag prison break). this was originally picked up under the wb banner but was dropped after wb become cw with matthew boomer (neal caffery, white collar) was casted. i have just watched the pilot and it is good, got the feeling this series is going to brilliant, i liked the little bits like "cult" being advertised on 2cw" and having the same producers being attched to "cult" as they are in real life which gives it an air of reality. cult should fit right in with cw drama programming alongside arrow, supernatural, nikita, vampire diaries, beauty and the beast.
there is a spinoff vampire diaries based on the original vampires, there is a back door pilot in the current run of vampire diaries called originals.
Top 5 Celebs To Be On The Channels: Molly Quinn, Stana Katic, Nina Dobrev, Susanna Reid, Steph McGovern

RE: US TV Shows - Discussion (Inc New Shows/Cancellations)
(02-03-2013 11:37 )madjack Wrote: there was a new show called 'do no harm' based on Jeckyl & Hyde' it was taken up by Watch but has been canned by the network after 2 episodes I thought it was quite good
How come this gets canned and body of Proof gets renewed for a 3rd season.
The big thing that upset a lot of viewers and reviewers was that the pilot episode involved a plot point whereby the lead character's evil alter-ego sexually assaulted a co-worker and the good ego later pleaded with his victim for forgiveness, all the while proclaiming he wasn't at fault because 'he could explain....', that being something many convicted rapists and wife-beaters often do.
Not a very tasteful premise for a pilot episode and one which sealed it's fate.
Besides that, I have to disagree with you in that IMHO I thought it sucked arse and Imhonestynhad high hopes that it would be a good show. As for body of proof...I can't say I've ever watched it but suffice to say, there are a ton of good\great shows that the US execs cancel every year, and has fast become something that sadly viewers have had to come to accept as the norm.

Dizzy
