Why are people making them look foolish by saying these girls are aweful singers? I watch the pop idol thing they where on, same with heresay, whether you like their particular music or not, it's pretty silly saying they can't sing when quite clearly all are very good singers. It's a bit like saying they're all ugly munters, it's a nonsense.

I rememeber a hell of a lot of people being ropey on that day. I was thinking more the pop idol programme where they beat thousands, not by looks alone.

i never got the hype about cheryl either. my fav was sarah harding and thought she was the sexiest. but the sexiest woman from the popstars the rival show that girls aloud were created in was pollyanna woodward who is now a presenter on the gadget show on channel 5

mellover, i think the point most people here are trying to make is, sure they can sing a wee bit but as a group they suck balls. take that final video 'i'll stand by you'. they get through it but surely if your paying fifty quid or more to watch a group you would want better than 'not bad. if those girls were ugly they'd be booed off stage! when the press are more concerned about who your wearing and what footballer your dating than your actual reason for being there, music, then its a safe bet that the talent is seriously lacking.

basically they are average singers that make up a shit group who don't play there own instruments or write their own material, perfect for the modern pop world as they fit right in. (just my opinion of course.)
