The new Xbox won't lock games and you will be able to sell them. MS stated this quite clearly. Press speculation started this rumour for both the ps4 and Xbox one.

How the Xbox 1 works now is that you buy the game but it has install on the hard drive you also have to be logged on to your profile too. You can give people permission in your household to use the game but where it gets odd is that if you take the game round a mates house you can play the game on there machine but you have to log on your profile on there machine for the game to work but if you sign off and leave them the game they wanna play it then they have to pay the fee to pay the game all this according to Microsoft’s Phil Harrison. I personally i don't why they didn't just leave it how it was currently i shall never know.

The thing people miss about this used game issue is that it's the game publishers who are pushing this not Sony or Microsoft and their way of subsidising Microsoft and Sony is to give them a cut of the used game sales if they go ahead with it.

Microsoft didn't wake up one day and decide this was a good idea. The game publishers pushed it on them and now it will be who out of Sony and Microsoft deals with it in the best way now. They may each have different methods of going about it but ultimately its the same problem they each have.

PS4 and Xbox One, neither of them will play used games like any console currently does. This is the direction the industry is going and neither Microsoft or Sony are exempt from that, quite the opposite.

having seen the specs of the new Xbox machine having the new generation AMD 8 core processor " The Jaguar " and the other technical specs would be something to sell it at £400 a pop

Guessing amazon are more likely to know the price as guessing they will be selling lot more of them than zavvi

Mind you something about the specs doesnt seem right why only use a 500gb Hard Drive and its not even an SSD drive at that especially as you are installing games onto the drive and having a lot more multimedia functionilty as well as all the TV and other capabilites

You could be right there i did hear that price of games on both the PS4 and Xbox 1 will be dearer probably about a tenner more then current games now.

I just can't see too many people having £600 spare to spend in the current economical climate on a console and then be ready to spend 50 to 60 quid on each game. Perhaps die hard gamers will do nearly anything to own one but the big target audience for sales are families, especially at Christmas. Be interesting to see how this develops.

sony and microsoft have not say anything about the price yet so i don't know about where amazon and zavvi have got the prices from because on the game website they are taking pre orders for £20 depositsbut with no price for the consoles i will wait until sony and microsoft say something about the price of the ps4 and xbox one
