In a 2nd XI match Lancashire right-handed batsman Jordan Clark hit Yorkshire slow left-armer Gurman Randhawa for six sixes in an over.This is only the 5th time the feat has been recorded in professional cricket & the only Englishman to do so.Following in the footsteps of Garry Sobers,Ravi Shastri,Herschelle Gibbs & Yuvraj Singh.

Amazing that Ravi Bopara is picked for another England squad??? How many chances is he allowed when others get one/two and their out.Surely this was a chance to get another new young face in

Joe Root has 646 runs so far & only had the next 2 Test to become the first Englishman for 75 years to 1000 runs before May.

Compton was close last year,Hick did it in 1988,but despite the early start to the season now they still played more 3 day matches with potentially more innings to reach the landmark.

Yesterday Jimmy Anderson became only the 4th Englishman after Botham,Willis Truman to reach 300 Test wickets.

Graham Napier took 4 wickets in 4 balls & finished with figures of 8-3 -32-7 as Essex beat Surrey by 178 runs in the YB40 match.

Yes ,but back in the days of 3day matches most games ended as one innings draws due to time lost with the weather or forefitted innings to try and manufacture a "positive"result .

Note the comparisons :
Yorkshire doing very well at 4day cricket ,absolute crap in the 1dayers .
England doing very well at the test matches ,absolute crap in the 1 dayers !
