Hope so. Would love to see Rooney at Chelsea but it would be crazy to offer them Mata or Luiz. Absolutely mental.

Fergie and now moyes went on about how no player is bigger than the club, well prove it by letting Rooney go, now his made it kinda official he wants out just get the best price possible and move on.

You can make him stay again but his just gonna ask for a transfer next year where it will be worser than now as he will then have only 1 year left on his contract.

moyes would be better off without him. he will only destabilise the dressing room and the media will keep on and on about a rift between them. Rooney is a mercenary plain and simple even if he stays he will keep ratcheting up transfer talk so he gets a better deal next year

If, as it looks, Rooney leaves now. Who will utd go for to replace him? There aren't many strikers left, most have been bought by now. It puts utd in a difficult position i think unless they just buy an attacking mid instead.

Why do they need to replace him? What's wrong with van Persie, Hernandez, Welbeck and Zaha?

Besides i can't Zaha scoring as many as Rooney did last year or even getting the assists either.

the fact is people don't like players with ego's they just want players who are quiet and are willing to put a shift in, and most of the time they are just barren workhorses who can't hit a barn door with a banjo, if they let rooney go who do they have if RVP gets injured? welbeck, really?

sometimes the best players have ego's and i can't understand why man utd don't just play RVP and rooney together up front, all these fancy formations are stupid, so it will be a big mistake if they let rooney go, unless they replace him with somebody like higuain or suarez

I thought Rooney played on the wing too these days. Isn't one of the reasons he wants out of Man Utd is that he wants to go back to being a striker?

Rooney is just an egomanic mind you the media havent helped with all this saviour of english football crap they have been spouting for years and years

if i was rooney i would look at all the things you have won the past years and shut your mouth and get into training and prove moyes wrong like lampard did to benetiz at chelsea last season
