These are all rumours in the press. They were saying that Modric and Kaka were on the way to United but then reported that a £28 million bid for both Baines and Felliani had been rejected by Everton.
Not sure what we would gain from Kaka either. United need a midfield general type of player more than anything else. The defence is good but gets little protection in front,
from the midfield to help soak up pressure.

I've been meaning to reply to this for a while.

I don't mind raiding the French market for players as you can get good players there. But there's even better talent elsewhere like Spain, Germany, Holland, Belgium and the Balkan countries for just as good prices.

The club's transfer policy is a disgrace to be brutally honest.

That is one of your main problems, with so many french players now there will be a clear divide in dressing room, there will be no need for the players to learn about culture ect, I think the club will not really mean anything to them so they will not give 100%.

Chelsea will loan Demba Ba to Cardiff for the season, but only when Chelsea have signed a new striker (not Rooney). Scott Sinclair and Victor Moses are both close to signing for West Brom. Scott Parker joining Fulham from Tottenham and Palace want Jermaine Defoe from Tottenham. Leeds to sign Man Utd defender Scott Wooton.

Anzhi Makhachkala and Tottenham have agreed a fee for Willian. Good work by Tottenham in spending some of the Gareth Bale money - better to reinvest it immediately than leave it in the bank.

Some of it?! Id say they've spent it all..

Soldado - £26m
Paulinho - £17m
Willian - £30m

Total - £80m.

So if Bale goes for £93m (which is what they say at the minute) then they still have £13m to spend of the Bale money plus whatever their initial transfer budget was for this summer. At this point they haven't spent a penny and still have £13m in their back pocket! They probably have about £40-£50m in the kittys still.

Just shows you how dumb Real Madrid are!

You forgot Capoue.

But I think the Bale is probably being invested in Willian and possibly Lamela. Paulinho, Soldado, Chadli and Capoue were bought with the use of the tv money, player sales and money from the owners pocket.
