RE: Transfers in summer window 2013
He is one of the best defenders in Europe, he would walk into any top 4 team in the premier league... if we do sell him though i'm sure we will still win the league and make 45m on the way that is 39m profit from him not bad.

you wake up, napoli and athletico madrid got as much money as possible for them out of those rich french clubs cos they have more money than sense, of course they are not worth £50m each, just like andy carroll weren't worth £35m but they knew you had money
these players like falcao, suarez, and cavani haven't done anything special in the champions league they are not on the same level as raul, shevchencho, van nistolrooy, henry, Eto'o, del piero, drogba, ibrahimovic, they have scored many goals in the highest level of club football, suarez, cavani and falcao are 26 27 years old they are not kids if they were that good they would have been playing regular champs league football at good teams for a few years now
lol market value, the value of today's players has gone to crazy levels
Your argument isn't even valid, all the players you just named are at or coming to the ends of their careers.... Falcao, Cavani, ect have many years left, of course they arent going to have won as much....
Ok so you think Eto'o , Henry, del piero ect are better players than suarez ect why arent any clubs lining up and paying 60m for Henry, Etoo ect now? Yes thats right, market Value has changed...
FYI Falcao won the europa league 2years straight and his european goal record is great... So to say he isn't proven well.....
Like I said before to you, your knowledge about football is clearly very little, your just a troll...
oh here we go again im a troll just cos i hurt your feelings and disagree with you
of course suarez, falcao and cavani are better players NOW than henry, raul, shevchennko etc as they are retired or too old, but shevchenko has scored more goals in the champs league than cavani, suarez, and falcao combined, like i said its not like they are 18 or 19 and just coming onto the scene, where have they been all these years? they are not even in the top 50 champs league goalscorers of all time, https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&...CtLyTHjVsg
yeah i know the market value has changed, its changed for the worse and has got to stupid levels, when players who haven't done it at the top level in club football are going for silly money i include neymar but he is very young unlike the others and has 10 good years left

The rest of your post was nonsense.... this is the fact... deal with it...

If you didn't notice for example Falcao has been scoring for fun all over Europe winning 3 european trophies.....
Also go back through the original piece of rubbish you wrote about Del Piero, Henry, Raul and work out why your argument is totally invalid...
Also will you stop going on about top all time scorers in the Champions league! it has nothing at all to do with any players market values of today...... Pele was not in that list or Maradona... whats your point...?

The best players in any market will go for the top price in THAT market. So, the top players in the 1990's went for say £15m-£20m. The top players in this market have gone for around £50m - excluding Bale because that deal is like a wind-up gone wrong.
So does that mean that today's £50m players are better than the £15m players from the 1990's?? Of course it doesn't. It means they are the best players right NOW in THIS market. Say everybody was shit today then the best of the shit would go for £50m because they would be the best in THIS market. Whoever bought that shit would have the best players, win the trophies and thus justify the price tag. Same goes for any era or market of the past or future.
It's like a piece of prime beef in the 1980's costing you say, £2. And today's prime beef costing you say, £5. Which beef is better?? Who the fuck knows? All you know is that's the price today, in this economy, pay it or leave the store.

RE: Transfers in summer window 2013
what the europa league? yeah cos that is the a great competition isn't it, did suarez say he wanted to go to a champions league team or did he say he wanted to go to a europa league team? i know why don't he go to swansea they are in the europa league then he can bang in loads of goals for them
also will you shut up about market value like i said the market value is totally wrong the only players who are worth £50M these days are messi and ronaldo, proven players who have done it in the champs league for a few years, we will see if suarez, falcao and cavani are among the top 10 scorers in the champs league by the end of their careers, they only have about 5 good years left, how can you be considered one of the best strikers when you haven't done it at champs league level?
it's like everything in life prices have gone up like petrol for example, it don't mean petrol today is better than petrol of 50 years ago just cos it cost more now, it's fucking petrol, so cavani, falcao and suraez are not worth a lot more money than raul, shevchencko, henry, etc when they were in their prime, are these current players better than those players when they were 26, i don't think so, in 20 years time average mid table players will be sold for £50m probably
market value my ass

yep fair enough but the market shouldn't get to silly levels like this it takes all pride, logic and dignity out of the game, £50m for just a very good footballer like cavani, falcao or suarez really? £30M i can accept and understand as there is plenty of money in football these days but even by their standards they should realise £50m is OTT
how silly can this get, £200M for a player in 10 years time? is there no limit to this madness?
