tvxmole Wrote:Hey Stacey. First of all I couldn't agree with you more. Hardcore is what people want to see (well I sure as hell do). That's why I found the story quite funny initially, I mean If you are paying for porn who would complain about "sexually explicit material" Isn't that rather the point?!
I think you know the answer to that. It tells you who the complaint came from in the adjudication.
A rival channel.
It was
A rival channel who complained to OFCOM about the R18 showings of "Babe Abroad" on Playboy.
It was
A rival channel who complained to OFCOM about the R18 strength shows on the defunct "XXXstaci" (sp?) channel.
Quote:In terms of competing with hardcore online however, http://www.televisionx.co.uk does of course show a huge number of hardcore videos. In response to some comments about older women appearing, yes there are a lot of MILF videos online, but you all have to remember the what gets a person off is a very personal thing, and there a lot of people out there to do want to see older women in porn as that is there personal preference. Television X wants to offer something for everyone. If you are into your hot younger girls (and hey, i second that) you need only take a look at the girls who are on the Television X Tour right now to know that Television X still has THE hottest Brit girls around as their ambassadors. The likes of Robyn Truelove, Keisha Kane and Syren Sexton?
TVX Online hardcore, blah, blah, blah.
I'm a TVX/Red Hot subscriber, have been since 2004. I don't watch hardcore on a computer screen.
I subscribe to VideoBox and ztod/3rdMovies/BlackIcePass because I can download their drm free movies, burn them onto DVD and watch them on a TV screen. You can't do that with the TVX web content.
Your online business is not the issue being debated.
You were not fined for what you show online.
You received a fine for showing the url's,
the website addresses, to hardcore sites,
unencrypted, during the
daytime.
You received a fine for showing R18 strength material on one single occasion, and from how I read it in the adjudication, it sounds as though someone stuck in the wrong tape rather than "TVX is flying the banner of naughty".
And you say
"Television X wants to offer something for everyone."
Who exactly wants to see constant repeats of 14 year old episodes of "Shagnasty and Mutley"? I'm intrigued.
I think it is time to cancel my subscription to TVX.
Please tell me how to do that as I know it is not a simple as just making a phone call or sending an email.
