In the event I end up running the nightshow version I would appreciate views on the following idea please folks .
It concerns fairness in eligibility of voting and an attempt to prevent duplicate accounts being set up to vote the same way numerous times at any stage.
It is only an idea so don't go mad, all suggestions are welcome .

Two criteria.
1. Voters have to have been forum members for at least 30 days
AND
2. Voters must have at least 10 posts to their name.

Your thoughts please .

Not sure about number of posts but if you said members for 30 days before 1st December it would mean they already had to be members which sounds fair to me

Seriously ,why not just have ;
People submit their top 10.
10 points for a 1st place, 9 points for 2nd etc. 1 point for a 10th place .
Collate the scores and the winner is the girl with most points .
Having match - ups just encourages tactical voting .

Agreed re: the top ten nominations by all members, agree with the scoring.

But to eliminate the match ups from round 2 onwards, in other words removing all rounds after round 1, kind of defeats the object of it being a tournament. Seeding encourages tactical voting, not the match ups themselves. Eliminate the seeding and just have an open draw for round 2 onwards.

But surely the object is to find the most popular babe?

If you have unseeded knockout rounds you risk having girls with twice as many 1st round votes going out whilst those from the bottom end of the list could go through if the draw favoured them.

There's a lot to be said for Mickster's suggestion.
