Bloody hell, this is genius! Big Grin

Off topic I know - but there's more where that came from !

A Kenny Everett special without Kenny Everettt - just wall-to-wall Cleo Rocos and Hot Gossip clips ?

A Benny Hill special without Benny Hill - just the Hills Angels routines ?

I'd better stop now.

RE: Dr Who
Re Dr Who repeats .
The UK Gold channel is partly owned by the BBC ,or was on its original appearance on Sky (pre digital).
I first got Sky in July 1993 and UK Gold were showing all the existing Jon Pertwee adventures every week night around 11.30 pm .Then an omnibus edition on Sunday mornings .
They then ran all the Tom Baker stories back to back .

RE: Dr Who
I think they must have done that on and off for years. I didn't get cable til about 2002 and they were still showing them then. I think whole stories as an omnibus, though chopped to bits with commercial breaks about every 15 minutes in the most undramatic places; and if I remember they were on early on Sunday mornings then too - though I think it might sometimes have been on something called UKTV Drama or something like that, as well as UK Gold. Think UK Gold also repeated stories from all the Doctors in 2003 for the 40th anniversary, with some cobbled together documentary introductions. Used to have VHS copies of some of these but they got chewed to hell by a machine on its last legs.

But as earlier poster said - not much good if you don't have Sky or cable, considering Dr Who was paid for with the TV licence fee.

And a girl who worked on both shows the former page 3 girl Corrine Russell (ask your Dad, younger posters!). She also danced in the Bond film "View to a Kill" and "Absolute Beginners" starring David Bowie & Patsy Kensit .

I take it you never saw the Sam Fox / Mick Fleetwood Brit Awards in its entirety then ?
Car Crash TV , what a total embarrasment for both presenters and viewers of both shows .They managed to make a complete mess of every segment of the Dr Who "party". They even made some of the Babechannels look more professionally produced and that takes some doing .
Any chance Sophia "Good Night and welcome to the show"Lares presenting next years Brits then ?

RE: Dr Who
Watched the Jon Pertwee classic Dr Who series, The Daemons last night. Some ham acting from a few of the supporting cast but still thoroughly enjoyable. Mr Moffat perhaps you need to watch this and take a note of how to create suspense Smile

RE: Dr Who
Currently waiting on delivery of "The Enemy of The World" DVD which was released on Monday.

Patrick Troughton fighting an evil world dictator who just happens to look exactly like him, but with a cod-Mexican accent.

(Well it was the late 60s, you can't blame Who for trying to go all "James Bond".)

Seen one episode on the missing stories compilation, but first time it's been released since it was recovered from a cupboard somewhere in Nigeria(I think?)

There's a few classic DVDs now available for under a tenner - I was impatient/dumb enough to buy most of them full price.

I'm waiting for the new year, got a pile of others to get through which should keep me busy until then. Word is, it rocks Cool

It's more the case that there's only a dozen or so that are more than a tenner now (depending on where you shop) Cool Even ones released last year or earlier this year.

And if the rumours of more rediscoveries to come are true, 2014 will be a bonanza shocked
