Thursday night's final frame finish was impressive, and so was last night's

Selby knocked in a 147 in the 7th frame this afternoon, with great tricky shots on the Brown, Pink and especially the Black

A horrible position on the final black for that maximum. Wouldn't that have been a sickener if it had brushed the near cushion.
Good to see his opponent forcing a smile.

I wonder if we could get a comeback from Walden against Selby like we did with Bingham against Robertson last night.

Stephen Hendry thinks that Ronnie O'Sullivan should have been on the shortlist for Sports Personality of Year for winning World Championship after a year away from snooker. Thoughts?

Ronnie has a personality, but that's not enough. Selby has more personality and plays more snooker. If he won the World Championship, then he would deserve to be a contender. Ronnie's too flaky to do enough to earn it now - already talking about skipping the Masters.

Good that Selby got the win, but credit to Walden for closing the gap slightly from 8-2 to 8-5, to show how he had reached the Semi-final in the first place.

Ought to be a good final, but I wonder...

There is a lot riding on this final, Neil Robertson trying to win it to complete the triple crown of World, UK and Masters titles, Selby trying to be first to defend UK title since Stephen Hendry in 1996, and if Selby wins he replaces Robinson as World Number 1

That whole "Triple Crown" thing is a pathetic recent invention to add some fake glamour to things. Like the sudden emphasis on this being the 2nd most important title in the calendar. Both of which I'd suspect originated with Barry Hearn.

Anyway, well done to Robertson for coming back from 5-1 down, a worthy winner and an Aussie success story

I am going to the Masters semi finals.

it is amazing how much better Shaun Murphy looks since he has lost 3 stone in weight
