What a pity that OTT, gurning idiot won. I'd rather Peter Wright won; he might look a tad eccentric but he's a cracking player. Not the best world championship the PDC has ever had, but at least Taylor didn't win. The BDO championship starts this Saturday. The quality will be significantly lower, but at least the fans aren't a bunch of drunken yobs.

The BDO version will be quite open this year imo.
I think it will be a fascinating championship .

The PDC problem is Phil Taylor's 16 world titles. Anyone else who wins is just an aberration to the natural order.

The BDO problem is the opposite - anyone who wins either shoves off to the PDC, or appears to have no ambition to try. Hope Scott Waites retains, though.

I've always enjoyed watching the PDC Worlds every Christmas but thanks to Sky's prices becoming ridiculous I've missed it this year. Complete newbie to the BDO but I'll be checking it out. I'll have to keep checking back in here to see what peoples thoughts are about the tourney and see if I can learn something haha
