RE: Darts
Until the PDC started their tour school to bring through their own talent, effectively they were cheery picking talent developed through the BDO system

RE: Darts
Could end up being a surprisingly decent tournament this year. Stephen Bunting will start as favourite, with James Wilson narrowly behind. Scott Waites isn't in the best of form at the moment though. Wesley Harms could be the dark horse.

BDO ten years behind PDC and the standard in comparison is shocking! The coverage from BBC is almost amateurish in comparison.

Will be missing Martin Fitzmaurice's "Let's.....Play.....Darts!" for the first time this year after his unfortunate incident earlier this year :

That was part of the furniture - hope it doesn't lessen the atmosphere.

I'm not mad on Sky's stuff, either, but BBC do give it a feel of "every other sport is more important, so here's Colin Murray". I think this will be the 20th year (approx.) I've followed the BBC/BDO effort.

The Robot Devil quoted several BDO darts players and I know none of them and I do follow the arrows a bit. Shows the gulf in class between BDO and PDC and in Sky's presentation compared to BBC. We will not have to put up with the Murray/George combo again this year will we..eek

Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

RE: Darts
The BDO's biggets problem is that whenever a big name emerges on their scene they tend to be poached by that scumbag Barry Hearn and his PDC group. Funny to think that every single man who has won the PDC/Sky world title started out in the BDO. Just shows, all they do is cherry pick the better players from the BDO by throwing £ at them. The PDC doesn't care about the future players and grass roots level of darts.

RE: Darts
Not true Robot Devil it certainly was how that started as it was a split so everyone came from BDO they also are responsible for the county and national circuits where these players come from.

The PDC now have a development circuit where they are themselves developing the players of the future. Ultimately it is a financial decision as to whether a player joins the PDC pr not and of course whether they are good enough.

Double take - where has half of Colin Murray gone? Looks like he's been on a steady diet of watercress leaves since last year. Surprised
