Lol no sorry wasn't meaning you. Anyone is welcome to post . All I am asking is that the haters don't just use it as a vehicle for venting their spleen or take the piss.

Jeff Stelling makes some good points concerning the current state of Man U imo

RE: Manchester United FC
Spot on. It has been my long held concern that we have failed to invest properly over the last several years. We never used the money raised from the sale of Ronaldo despite promises being made that it would be used for new players. Yes United have spent money since but never like the other top teams have done, investing in top players. The writing has been on the wall for a few seasons. Instead of buying a top player to fill a void they persuaded Scholes to lace up his boots again when he was past his best. Not what you expect from a team supposedly among the worlds elite.
We really are at risk of decline if we do not buy well either now or in the summer. I fear all the warnings about the Glazers buyout draining much of our resources might be coming true, just hope I am wrong.
Very disconcerting to hear Moyes say that he may well not buy in this window as he does not know if the right players are available in January...while I can understand that clubs won't want to sell top players mid season, it doesn't explain the uncertainty of last summer!!Rolleyes

RE: Manchester United FC
i think they need to buy now. its world cup year so if u wait till summer the prices will be sky high cos of the world cup. that will be an excuse for the people in the boardroom to say in the summer this player and that player are too much. if people are cup tied in europe then they r using that as an excuse cos lets be honest they prob wont win the european cup anyway but they need these players now or they wont be any europe at all next season. if theres quality players out there unhappy at their clubs now in the positions what man utd are looking 4 then they should go get them if they really do have the money to spend.

have your own opinion, lead dont follow.

Stelling's in dreamland if he thinks that the Glazers have been outspent by Arsenal. Until Arsenal bought Ozil they were actually making a PROFIT on transfers over the same time that the Glazers have owned Man Utd.

Man Utd signings since the Glazer takeover:
Fellaini 27.5m
van Persie 22m
van der Sar 2m
Ji-Sung Park 4m
Foster 1.5m
Vidic 7m
Evra 5.5m
Carrick 19m
Hargreaves 18m
Nani 14m
Anderson 17m
Kuszczak 2m
Tevez 10m
Fabio 2.5m
Rafael 2.5m
Berbatov 30.75m
Tosic 6m
Valencia 18m
Obertan 3m
Diouf 3.5m
Smalling 12m
Hernandez 7m
Bebe 8m
Lindegaard 3m
Jones 16.5m
Young 17m
de Gea 18m
Kagawa 12m
Powell 4m
Zaha 15m

Players are a fickle and mercenary bunch. Suddenly Manure aren't guaranteed trophies or even a place in Europe next season. I imagine Moyes has a shopping list but he might find the shops are closed. I bet the Glazer's are cacking themselves considering they must have a least a decade's worth of full capacity gate receipts bolstered by Champions League runs leveraged against their colossal debts. If Rooney leaves others will follow.....Pep Guardiola was the man not no trophies Moyes.

RE: Manchester United FC
as a Man U fan a kitty of between 50 - 200 million is fine but i cant see moyes being able to attract the top players to play for him - he doesn't have the pulling power that say fergie had or mourinho, guardiola has.

I mean we may get hibbert from everton for 20m! lol.

Seriously we have never replaced Roy Keane and there is alot of shit that needs to be fucked off.

Smalling - worst defender i have ever seen - you just know you are going to concede when you see his name on the teamsheet.

Cleverley - couldn't pass wind never mind the ball

the list goes on but they are the two worst that start most games.

I do fear that when we dont make the top four Rooney, Van Persie, Januzaj, Hernandez (who moyes dont want anyway) will all go!

I bet not one everton fan would have moyes back now seeing how good football they are playing now under martinez!

RE: Manchester United FC
I agree with what you say about never replacing Keane but I think Moyes has to be given time before we start calling for his head. Man United are still one of the biggest names in world football and if there is a massive transfer kitty then we will still be able to draw top players to the club. It has to be remembered that the squad of players we have, bar Fellaini is not one built by Moyes but by Fergie. The likes of Smalling, Buttner and Cleverley are in reality no better than reserve players who might be brought on occasionally. That they get to play regularly is simply down to lack of investment in top quality defenders and midfield players over the last few years. Hopefully Moyes will look to rectify the squads' shortcomings now or in the summer.

I see that Anderson is having a medical today at Fiorentina.
It's unsure if it's perminent or just a loan move
