Joey i watch it out of habit like you do, I used to really enjoy it because it was edgey and was entertaining and had good stories and had some unpredictability but now I like many other wrestling fans are sick to death of how things are.
Why do you keep saying that fandango is my favourite wrestler? I think you are confused, all i said about him he (johnny curtis) is a very good wrestler with lots of potential, hense why jericho put him over at wrestlemania, if the Wwe creative team put some effort in with writing then they could do a lot with him and many others, but instead all they do is try and think of new ways to shove cena in peoples faces and new ways to try and get him over.
As for Cenas mic work i disagree with you, it's so forced and over the top it's not convincing, he sounds like a programmed robot.
I seen that on Raw to the crowd were all booing him then they adjusted the volume levels to drown out the boo's. It would be much better without him all round.

like it or not WWE is aimed at kids, when the rock, HHH, stone cold, taker, HBK, foley, kane etc were in their prime you were a kid, i am a similar age to you so back then i thought everything was great as well and never got bored or complained if a rivalry went on for to long or thought any wrestler was shit cos i was a kid and wwe always entertained me, i remember wrestling with my mates at break time at school, doing moves like the stunner, rock bottom, chokeslam, pedigree etc, then most of my mates grew out of it and stopped watching it, but i carried on watching it, in the real world nobody knows i watch wrestling except my brother but i don't talk to him about wrestling much as he stopped watching it a few years ago when he was like 17

RE: The Official WWE Discussion Thread
Cena isn't bad on the mic, he's a rapper or former one anyway, so theres no way he can be bad on the mic. So that's that solved.
Like Joey said, WWE although it only recently went PG, it's target audience though is and will always be kids, mainly ranging from 8-14. I grew up watching Triple H constantly screwing Goldberg over, Eddie Guerrero telling Rey's kid "I'm your Papi", Cena rapping on god knows who, Mr McMahon banging Sable backstage, a Trish Stratus flirting around with pretty much everyone.... It shows that a lot may have changed, but it hasn't it's just different people doing it. Randy Orton is now Triple H, AJ Lee had a quick stint as Trish Stratus (kissing everyone)

at those days the WWE wasn't just aimed for kids i remember Jim Ross said during the attitude era that
they were aiming people from 16 - 30 y.o
but right now it's manly for little kids, the only two people interested in WWE other than me in my family are my nieces

You know Sable and Vince were never actually together right?
She was with Brock Lesnar back then during that TV angle. (she still is with Brock)

yeah true, DVD's of PPV's would be for over 18s and i weren't allowed to buy any of them back in the late 90s and early 2000s, i also think in america the average age of wrestling fans are older than over here, but i do think there are a lot of closet wrestling fans, we just talk about it on here and not in real life, but in general wrestling is not popular amongst older people i have never talked to a 40-50 year old about wrestling at work, wrestling was not televised over here when they were kids
