It's Liverpool's title to lose now. With the top 3 mired in Champions League commitments against the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona it should surely be a stroll for Liverpool to win the league. Not to mention that Liverpool still have home matches against Man City, Chelsea and Tottenham, but have already played all the other contenders away. All Liverpool have to do is to keep their good home record going and they are home and dry. The real battle is going to be between Arsenal and Tottenham for 4th.

A stroll for Liverpool??? Man City and Chelsea have far stronger squads and both of them have experience of winning the premiership in recent years, something that is new territory for Liverpool. Arsenal have an exciting young team that are capable of going on an extended winning run over the next two or three months too so I wouldn't go counting chickens just yet. Liverpool are certainly up there this year and do have a chance of claiming the title with an ever improving manager, but to disregard this seasons other top teams so casually could lead to embarrassment.

Mr bytor, I am not writing as a Liverpool fan, but as a neutral observer. Since Liverpool still have to play Man City and Chelsea at home it seems to me that they are the club in the box seats. Arsenal have got Tottenham, Everton and Chelsea away and Man City at home, so are not a contender anymore. Liverpool have no big away matches now, so are set for a strong finish, whilst Man City and Chelsea will have their eyes on the Champions League.

Your observations might well be right. Liverpool do have a good chance. All I was saying is I doubt it will be a stroll...for whoever wins the premiership this season. Playing in the CL may have a positive effect on City and Chelsea.Smile

If Lazio's Cameroonian player Joseph Minala is 41 and not 17 as claimed, I want to know his secret of looking so young

Is this Jose Mourinho on here in disguise playing the mind games?? Rolleyes The fact we are playing those teams at home doesn't guarantee us 3 points against them. As good as our home form has been, we have also been beaten by Southampton and drew with Villa at Anfield this season so to say the title is ours to lose is a bit naive. Champions League qualification is our aim and anything after that is a bonus.

Judge me by my size do you? Hmmm? Hmmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is.
