The English living in Scotland would not become Scottish automatically, but if they were "habitually resident" in Scotland they could apply for Scottish citizenship if they wanted to.

And as they won't be EU citizens, will they need travel visas?

That's an idealistic viewpoint.

Short term economic issues matter, especially if you're a 'start-up business' with no track record. Without addressing the short term issues there may not be a 'long term'.

Delboy Salmond's "this time next year, Rodney" attitude doesn't cut it with a decision of this magnitude.

What about: 3 Change of Power

If Scotland gains independance and in the future the people decide to have a change of party, is it possible for the Scots to become part of Britain again?
Or is it a case of burning bridges?

That's the problem we have, we don't have an answer to many of the important questions because the SNP haven't provided any. The 'better together' people need to get their act together and put the answers out that people need, the truthful ones that show that independence is a mistake and that the people in charge don't have our best interests in mind. This is about power, not Scotland.

Oh and the 'Yes' lot are doing the rounds door to door, but get this, a couple come to the door while several others stand at the end of your path, pretty much all of my neighbours either ignored them, or waived them away without speaking to them (thankfully they got the hint and didn't come here). What kind of idiots think that an intimidation technique like that will get votes, lol, I had to laugh at the desperation of it, I just hope the majority of voters feel the same.

Well this is just an opinion but I think that technically they won't be able to unless they have bilateral agreements with them. The same would go for EU citizens in Scotland. So unless Salmond is proposing to deport people who he is allowing to vote then I guess a swift accommodation will be made to ensure people can continue working.

No, the result of the referendum would stand, irrespective of who's in power. Not withstanding that, any decision on rejoining wouldn't be Scotland's to take.
In all honesty, if it ever got to that stage we're totally fucked whatever happens.

Scotland would have to ask the UK's permission to rejoin.

Didn't representatives of the Orkney and Shetland Islands say that in the event of Scottish independence they will ask to separate from Scotland providing that they can get permission to join the UK.
