24 Season 8

Just thought i would let people know whats going on with season 8 in case no one knows about it. Its gonna be set in New York with CTU returning, Freddie Prinze Jnr will be joining cast playing the head of CTU field ops, Anil Kapoor has been given a role he of slumdog millionaire and according to hollywood reporter jennifer westfeldt(grey's anatomy) and chris diamantopouslos(the starter wife) he will be playing the presidents new chief of staff.

its going to be the last season, then the proposed film is meant to be done after season 8 has wrapped. it will premiere on January 17, 2010 in the US with 2 eps that night and 2 eps the following night, Producers and writers Howard Gordon, Evan Katz, David Fury, Manny Coto, Brannon Braga, Brad Turner, Alex Gansa, Brian Grazer, Chip Johannessen and Patrick Harbinson are all signed for the eighth season.

The only confirmed cast members so far to reprise their roles are Kiefer Sutherland, Cherry Jones (President Taylor), Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe), Annie Wersching (Renee Walker), Bob Gunton (Ethan Kanin) and Elisha Cuthbert (Kim), Elisha is down as Supporting cast along with Bob Gunton and Jennifer Westfeldt (Meredith Reed) so guessing they're only in a few eps, could be only 3-4 or could be half a season. Funnily enough Doug Hutchison will play Davros. Dr Who crossover? haha

yup, its a pet peeve of mine, its like all the idiots that decided they're not watching Dr Who anymore once they saw that Matt Smith got the role, its ridiculous. people bitched about david tennant before he took the role and look at how good he was! really winds me up....

More news on 24 season 8, Mykelti Williamson(Heat and Forest Gump) will joining this new season. He will be playing Brian Hastings, the head of CTU New York he will be MBA-type with a "razor-sharp intellect". Also joining the cast will be Doug Hutchison, he was in the tv show Lost an played DHARMA leader Horace. Hutchison will be playing Davros a dangerous European terrorist. I thought Davros was a bad gug in Doctor Who pmsl, anyway will fill you guys in any more information on the new season. One final thing it started filming last week .

Bit behind on davros, already made that joke 2 posts up didn't know who that mykelti bloke was so left him out.

Should point out there's a good chance they'll kill jack as it's the last year. They might save it for the film, but the could just set the film at a point before he died. I get the feeling they might try and spin off for Renee after this.

Keifer said himself that its just not in the nature for jack to be given a happy ending, so he wants him to die, season 8 is the last one and he's exec producer, so if it don't happen, then it will in the film.

Cheers for the info about season 8,I got a feeling that Jack might be killed off,but the 24 concept could easily continue with another actor or actors.I can't see the network execs killing off such a good cash-cow as this,instead of it being about one man saving the day it be a collective C.T.U. saving the day.

I've never watched 24, I know its shocking but i've just never got round to watching it
