Did anyone from Australia explain why?

It explains how to hijack a plane by hacking its computer, a job which can be done with a mobile phone. And it was uploaded to YouTube BEFORE flight MH370 went missing.

so it is possible to do it? Then I wonder what that call the pilot took before take off was about? surely now the Malaysians have to trace that call

They can't trace the call, unfortunately, because the person who bought the pay-as-you-go mobile phone the call was made from was using a fake ID card. As the ID card was in a woman's name, they at least know the person buying the phone must have been a woman, but that isn't a lot to go on.

They said that Australia doesn't have its radar working on a continuous basis. They switch it on as required, such as times when they feel there is a specific threat or concern.

And is it possible to do it remotely or do you need to be on the plane?

Talking of being on the plane, I see that the Malaysian authorities have contradicted themselves once again. Sad

Whereas they announced a week ago that all passengers had been cleared of suspicion and they were satisfied that whatever happened was not passenger initiated, they have now put out a statement saying that the passengers aren't in the clear because, until the cause of the plane's disappearance has been established, everyone on board remains under suspicion and under active investigation.

RE: Malaysia Airlines Flight 370
There's a new development today, as reported in the Malaysian newspaper The New Straits Times:

"A crew member of flight MH370 made a desperate call from his mobile phone as the plane was flying low near Penang, the morning it went missing. The latest breakthrough in the ongoing investigation traced the call to co-pilot Fariq Abdul Hamid's phone. It is understood that the aircraft was flying at an altitude low enough for the nearest telecommunications tower to pick up his phone's signal. His call ended abruptly, but not before contact was established with a telecommunications sub-station."

The report does not say who the co-pilot was trying to contact, but the phone number called from the plane has been identified and the police know who it belongs to.

You can find the answer in the video. Somebody in the audience asks if the person with the mobile phone needs to be on the plane and the presenter replies "I have one rule. Never hack the airplane you're flying on."

If this is a cyber hijacking it doesn't explain WHY the plane was hijacked.

The Daily Mail outlines a theory that I proposed 2 weeks ago:

"The aircraft was hijacked and the pilots were ordered to fly around Malaysian and Indonesian air space while negotiations were carried out. Those negotiations demanded the dropping of a jail sentence imposed on Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim. The hijackers gave government negotiators 5 hours to meet their demands or the plane would be destroyed."
