did anybody else just here willie thorne say 'it's going to be a battle of nutrition' in regards to robertson and selby's pending 'battle of attrition'!

Nutrition was always a part of Big Bill Werbeniuk's game



The match between Robertson and Selby is heading towards a last frame decider.. Selby is 15-14 up at present.

Another century from Robertson at 16-14 down to reduce his arrears to one at 16-15.
Selby got in first in frame 31, lost position and played a poor safety.
Robertson knocked in a long red and the rest was history.
Frame 32 now in progress.

This is a seriously great match between these two.

So fascinating.

I think of all the sports, snooker is also the most mentally challenging

After such a tough match will the winner have enough left to take on "the rocket" ?

I alluded to whether the winner would have enough in the tank in a previous post so I agree this is a major concern especially as Ronnie has had the whole day off.
So many of the frames have been drawn out affairs with attempts being made for snookers.
The quality of safety has been outstanding from the outset.
Two brilliant match players fighting it out to the finish.
Gripping stuff. Selby at the table and closing in on victory.
Can he hold his nerve?

Yes he could.
Mark Selby into the final with a 17-15 victory.
A superb match.

I hope Mark goes all the way now ' he is the best player out there who has never won the world title. He won't want to go through his career with not winning the title hanging over him like it did Jimmy White.

Spectators whose mobile phones go off during play should be chucked out and not allowed back in.
Having been to the Crucible and various other tournament venues I know that prior to every session people are advised to have their phones switched off or in some cases put on silent.
No excuses. It is offputting, disrespectful and out of order to let phones go off.

There's a big sign above each player's seat asking viewers to text in their views on the match. The audience are only doing what they're told
