only reason liverpool fans never took to him cos he was gillette and hicks fall guy

reason why he was chosen was because he had managed at all levels of the english game and had been working on the technical groups of the FA

he took switerzland to world cups and Euros not to mention a sucessful spell at inter milan

I never have said that once, i said infact AVB should not have been sacked at chelsea for example, hodgeson failed at liverpool badly and said all the wrong things and signed 4 truly shocking players, he doesn't take hardly any risks and seeing as the FA are trying to move on with the england team with a lot of young technical players in it why did they not have a manager who is willing to play to those strengths... If he played his cards right roy he could have had 3 of chelseas back 4 and liverpools attack which would have been a good combination..

Chelsea's defence without Mourinho and Liverpools attack without Brendan Rodgers isn't as formidable. The tactics of both managers make them work effectively, England as team can't defend as good as Chelsea nor can they attack as fluently as Liverpool and there's no Suarez either
