Ong-Bak.

I haven't watched a good martial arts flick in some time, and this was definitely what I needed. I actually watched it dubbed for a more "retro" feel. Some wicked fights in it, and generally crazy stunts. I wanna set my legs on fire and kick someone now.

Maleficent 8/10 An enjoyable, slightly darker reworking of the the story of Sleeping Beauty starring Angelina Jolie in the title role.

Django Unchained 9/10 Tarantino at his best. Not sure why I waited so long to see this. The cruel and violent humour in it does more to portray the inhuman treatment of black slaves in America than any of the politically correct serious dramas ever have done.

Bean: The Ultimate Disaster Movie 7/10.

The Rock - mindless fun from Michael Bay era before he decided he believed all the sycophants telling him he was a genius and proceeded to turn out turd piles such as Transformers, Transformers 2, Transformers 3, Transfor... oh fuck it you get the idea.

An enjoyable 7/10

The Family 8/10 Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfieffer and Tommy Lee Jones star in a dark comedy by Luc Besson based around a Mafia family on a witness protection scheme relocated to France where they find they can't give up old habits easily. Not funny all the time but some stand out belly laughs with a serious undertone for good measure.

Guardians Of The Galaxy - 7/10 - FINALLY got around to seeing this earlier today. Thought it looked great, the best non GCI make up FX I've seen in ages. Plot was OK, good that its the most humorous of the Marvel films but its constant shotgun approach to the gags did make me roll my eyes in a couple of places. Will definitely purchase to watch again
