Scottish Independence (the sequel)

Think it will be a no vote announced on Friday is what I think as pretty much all the polls now seem to indicate a no win, at least the ones I've seen on tv today. Also bookmakers are starting to payout on a no win too. Have heard of at least one bookies that is doing

I was intrigued by the link, so I went there. Then I saw the author and I almost clicked away. But curiosity got the better of me and I read it anyway. Now I wish I hadn't.

To give him his credit, he does have one more nobel prize than I do. But he is now as much equal parts politician, pundit, author, blogger, ideologue and bullshit artist as he is an economist.

I particularly love the way he paints a picture of Canada as a quaint backwater, with its charming little quirks like ... y'know ... health care. Aren't they adorable, those moose-loving Mounties, with their high taxes and puritanical rules about guns. And they have their own money too! Imagine that.

Still hoping for a 'no' vote. I think it will be a 'no' vote. But wouldn't blame you for voting 'yes'...

The answers I needed to consider voting yes haven't been answered and therefore I will be saying no thanks

I think I am to assume that the majority on this forum are English, fuck me I can not believe just how xenophobic you lot are to the Scottish people. Another reason I'll be voting to get out of the union.

Listen here, we don't need politicians in Westminster London deciding what's best for Scotland, it's our country and it should be our choices alone. Ask yourself how you the English people would feel if France was making all the decisions on your behalf, not too good I'd imagine.

I think in some respects, it summarises the impression that the English are given of the Scottish, always feeling under-loved.

interesting the poll sb started has 85% voting no and 15% voting yes. hardly indicative of tomorrows vote i feel, but interesting non the less.

I agree with this bit. I stopped paying that license fee a long time ago.

(It's actually because I am cheap. But if an inspector ever asks, I'll say it's in solidarity ... Fight The Power!)
