It may be totally different to you, but to me the principle involved is exactly the same.

Anyway you can carry on disagreeing if you like, but I won't answer because I've already said what I think, that's the two cases involve the same principle and it's a fair comparison.

I'm not going to argue the point anymore as I fear the scorn of Kartel. eek

Can you guys let me know when this aimless debate is over, and then I can kick all the relevent posts into the twilight zone.

This is probably the right moment to show I'm a bigger man than winsaw by stepping away from his continual straw man posts and his petty arguments. He only recycles the same arguments anyway, continually repeating posts from a week ago, or even a fortnight ago, which I why I've taken to referring back to previous posts, rather than join him in continually repeating things. Besides it's not good for the image of a distinguished person such as myself to be seen arguing with the likes of him.

I hereby endorse the post made by PhredE as being the most sensible one made in this thread in recent days and as being a good and fair assessment of the matter under discussion. I will not post in this thread again, regardless of the likelihood that winsaw will try and provoke me into doing so.

Well it isn't to me lol, i understand were the original poster was coming from, but for me there are just so many differences for the principle to be exactly the same .

As well as the stuff iv'e already posted, one last point/disagreement that i forgot to mention in regard to STD 66 being likened a football stadium and XF a Rugby team using it's facilities etc, is that STD 66 does not own the actual studios (stadium) that XF broadcasts from, nor the channel slot, both are owned by 2 separate independent company's from STD 66 .
The owners of the studios/stadium were STD 66/XF broadcasts from are not responsible for for the TV content that is broadcast from the studios they own, they are not the ones granted a TV broadcast licence by Ofcom .The people behind STD 66 own the TV broadcast licence of Ch 942, they regulate and control the output of XF, so that's another difference .

PS, if everyone agreed how boring would this forum be ? .

{edit} I do hope the XF girls don't have a twitter strop and think they are be likened to rugby players lol .

Life is short . Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that made you smile .

What difference does that make? Huh

I'm an Orient supporter and we don't own our own ground. We rent it. We hold the license not the stadium owners. Leeds don't own their ground either, but they are still the license holders.

And that doesn't stop us (or Leeds) from allowing other uses of the stadium, such as pop concerts.

you have so missed the point, what mr mystery is saying is that if a rugby club was renting your ground and that rugby team had a mass fight you the football club would not get fined the rugby club would but in babeshow land it works the other way with 66(the football club) getting the fine if XF(the rugby club) do wrong

What a pedantic argument. Important

I see what admiral decker meant about you and your petty arguments.

If you think I'm going to be an admiral decker substitute so you can carry on your petty arguments you're very much mistaken. I've no intention of being a substitute for him.

Simple fact - whether it's TV or sport a breach of license conditions means that the license holder is going to be held responsible.

Don't bother replying because I'm not interested in pedantic arguments.

this thread has done nothing but amaze me, how so many seam to not be able to understand the most simple of facts, mr mystery is correct i tried to simplify it for you but you still don't get it,
i will try again, in the sports parlance we are talking about the playing side of things we are not talking about the stadium license we are saying that what a club dose on the field is what they get punched for but in babeshow land 66 would get the fine for something it did not do, please say you get it now

And if, during the rugby match, there was a (preventable) riot on the terraces, who gets done for that?

Genuine question btw, this is all very intriguing Wink
