I saw a news thing the other day that they're filming for the new series, for later in the year.

It's interesting to ask why it's such a fixed Sunday night staple. Would it offend people less if it were post-watershed? Or on Friday night?

Again, the critics never know when they produced films, or whole episodes, which are as good as it gets. The Ukraine film in the last series, or the River Nile special, were (in the main) two of the best shows they've ever done, for the seriousness of showing the world places they would probably never see otherwise.

Still no definite starting date for the new series. It could be around Christmas time.

They'll probably have to put significant distance between James May's recent spin off show and the start of the new series of TG.

Seriously dont dave check the middle east one is on and Jeremy Clarkson going on about none of this not paying ransoms i want you to pay it as i dont want to be beheaded on the internet

not blaming JC or the team there but you would have thought Dave would have checked it before transmission and cut that part out after the last few weeks

I completely forget which it was, but they had one this week with a lump cut out. It was on Three one night, complete, then on Dave the next evening with this bit cut out. It wasn't even anything really controversial, so it seemed really odd that it was cut. I only really noticed as it was quite clumsily done so it seemed like something was missing, and I had seen the full version the previous night so it registered.
Maybe it was just done to reduce running time to fit in the ads or something, or their dvd had a scratch on it

I don't think they have any staff at Dave to check anything. Think they just have the same few programmes on a continual loop

Venice was one of the places they've been filming, but I don't know what disasters they could visit on them. Unless they refloat the place..?

Apparently just been kicked out of part of argentina because of a number plate of one of the cars had reference to the falklands war

Seems like half & half to me. I assumed they make reference themselves to FKL, otherwise it's a terrible stretch. The fact that nobody noticed for the first day is a bit of a giveaway. Not to mention that they presumably had to get permission to film there in the first place... what did the Argentines think they were allowing?
